Just finished it;

Overall, I liked it.

  • The story suffers from a lot of action movie clinches, but, it's interesting enough to keep you engaged
  • Jill becomes a likeable character
  • The action is damn near nonstop, but, fun
  • The RE engine makes it great to look at
  • Man, that last Nemisis battle looks great
  • Nice change of pace from RE2:Remake...it would be a perfect DLC, that's why I won't be too hard on it
  • The new locations are great
  • Still scary at parts
  • The boss battles are pretty good and as good as any of the ones in the RE2 Remake

  • Bad pace; too many cutscenes
  • Too many "Oh, really  moments"
  • I don't mind the short run time, but, I get why ppl were mad
  • The game seems hollow at times
  • The puzzles are non-existant and/or streamlined
  • It plays like one of those extra game modes, but, it's full game price
  • It's too easy and the challenging parts are too cheesy
  • Scary, but, it's so easy to get comfortable
  • The game gets by because we know the Resident Evil mythos
  • Hardcore is laughable and I don't wanna try the new modes because they will just be cheesy and annoying (just saw the Nightmare mode just gives more zombies, less ammo :smh:)

I only used a guide three times

  • I got stuck in the hospital with those two hunters, getting the cassette, so I found the safe code for the double clip for more ammo
  • I did not know how to beat Nemisis on the "circle" part
  • I did not know how to beat Nemisis on the part before the last

7/10 game

The game was developed in three years at the same time as another classic/GOTY type game

They stumbled, but, it's still a game you should atleast play once

Wherever you want to start

But RE5-6 are the worst of those

I'd recommend RE4,7 and RE1 Remake if you haven't played it.

RE4-5 you can't strafe while aiming, you're pretty much a sitting duck. Has tension but not actual horror. these are reasons why I never bought them but 4 is better than 5 & 6.

RE6 has too much action with a convoluted story just horrible, for a RE game.

It's all preference but this just the popular thoughts on those games.

Re1
RE2 Remake
RE3 Remake
RE7
RE4
RE Revelations 1
RE 0

I wouldn't touch anything else
U are DEF shytting on Code Veronica. Which is ATLEAST better than RE Revalations and RE 0.

I'm looking at copping CV and Revelations 1.

I've played 5 on PS3 in 2018 Because of PS plus it's very meh. I doubt been will enjoy those if RE2/3 Remake is his first games.

I strongly recommend him to play RE7, RE4 and Revelations 1 in that order.
U need to def play Code Veronica. History is being rewritten about that game. For one. That game is basically the true sequel to Resident Evil 2. Number 2. People try to retroactively hate on it because IGN fukked over the rating when they did the remaster for PS3/Xbox 360. But that was one of the highest rated RE games when it dropped. I still have my old Dreamcast magazine with the review for the game in it. shyt got a 10 out of 10 in that shyt. IGN’s original rating was like a 9.5.

He's better off watching RE5-6 gameplay

Disagree

Play em all. They're all cheap and there's fun to be had in all of em

RE5 was kinda dope...:whoo: just think of it as a side story where the big bad guy finally catches a permanent dirt nap...:lolbron: the story was good too...

RE6 was TRASH...:scust:

just skip 6 entirely, horrible

DONT play 6. 5 is atleast a pretty fun action game. But it doesn’t feel like Resident Evil. 4 is a classic. 7 is the scariest game in the series.
thanks
I have a playstation now subscritpion and saw that they have most of the RE games mentioned
even code veronica
playdemic here i come :wow:

I didn't mention because its OG RE.

notice how I didn't mention the OG RE1-3 either.
I got u. But even with that being said. RE1 got remade but it's still basically in the style and while RE Code Veronica aint in this newer style. It still was next gen at the time of release. It aint a PS1 game. Main issue is gonna be the Tank Controls.
