I remember the real turn around moment for a lot of folks before the migration was one dude pretending to be trans just to see how much bullshyt he could get away with and see how shallow some of these folks were they fake as fukk inside and out and all that defensive shyt is just to pad their own insecurities most of the time. they can't even claim to be trans friendly either. a solid portion of that community left and never looked back too.

and its not like that was a one off either. people been seeing that flim flam come out time and time again over all kinds of different stuff because its not even about the issue, its circling the wagons and surrounding yourself with people who are all genuinely afraid of any kind of scrutiny - that way everyone stays on brand and links arms without even thinking twice. could be npd numbers, human rights, developer insights, narrative reviews, etc.

the tone is set before discussion even occurs. and if you aren't already fully aware of that along with the entire trajectory of the thread/discussion/topic from its accepted start to the point where you entered, then you're just a target to some and a race car accident for the rest of the onlookers to gawk at
