Maybe not Jordan but anyone could make a power play right now.

Even if McCarthy gets it eventually, this is a devastating blow to his leadership and is a sign of foolery to come.

Yea but at point do a couple republicans throw their hands up and defect and maybe support Jeffries.....I dont know how many actual "moderates" are left in the republican party who would even consider going that route but if neither side of the GOP will budge and this shyt keeps going for days who knows what could happen.

They don't have the balls to support Jeffries. This charade will go on through the night.

Nah, at least @General Mills is a smart enough man to be in on the joke. This is Ralph Wiggum levels of obliviousness.

If you asked me a few hours ago, I'd say definitely not. But now? Anything's possible. McCarthy is crashing out real bad right now, and they don't seem to be doing literally anything to rectify it.

Yea but Jim Jordan would need support from the whole GOP to become speaker and I honestly dont kno whether he would able to get that or if there would be some Mccarthy supporters who wouldnt back Jordan even if Mccarthy drops out

Never forget that the Republicans, even the moderate ones, are motivated to win at all costs. The strategy of the opposition seems to just put forth tbt argument that unless they get what they want, no one wins. I think there are plenty that will just give in.

It's ironic there's a person named Jordan involved, because McCarthy could easily go 0-6 in votes. :mjlol:

Nah, any Republicans who did that would probably get their house firebombed by angry MAGAs :mjlol:
