I'd say he was a moderate, now he just tries to pump fake for the MAGA base and ride trumps dikk n/h for their support. Hes not as outwardly crazy as MTG or Gaetz or Bobert, but hes just a big of a piece of shyt in all honesty

Maga winning is bad in the short term but better for us (the left) in the long road.

Pretty much. I don't think he has much of an ideology beyond whatever is good for him at the time.
Essentially, McCarthy was set up to fail.
McCarthy's plan to become Speaker was going off of the assumption that they were going to secure a much larger majority than they ended up getting, and that they'd all be on the same page once they won.
Jordan was supposed to be McCarthy's plug to the MAGA portion of their majority, so he was going off of his advice for what concessions he was supposed to give them to get the 218 he needs. In what seems to be a surprise only to Kevin McCarthy, him trying to play both sides failed, and now McCarthy now looks like a weak option. The doors open for either Jordan or a possible third candidate to take this after they basically wait everyone out by voting a million times.
I'm wondering who these brehs and that Asian lady are. Literally never seen these people before

Mccarthy is 100% a Trump man. When the riot was going on he was on the phone with Trump trying to get him to do something, anything and dude told him to go kick rocks.

There was no way he could deliver. What the MAGA side wants is so far detached from the other side that him placating them is putting poison in the well. He can't give them too much, or else he'll lose support from the moderate side. If he ignores the MAGA side entirely, they pull their votes, and with their majority being so slim, it essentially gives Democrats a defacto majority. He literally cannot win.
And he walked in there thinking he could tightrope it because Jordan told him he was good. And regardless of if he wants the spot or not, there's absolutely no situation where he didn't have any idea that this was going to happen.
