Ja over-saturated the market will all them songs too close together and all the same format. And then 50 came out and we all know what happend there. lol

Lil Mo is on that R&B Divas show with Chante Moore, Kelly Price, Michel'le, Dawn Robinson, and Claudette. Word is she getting a 125k paycheck plus 20k. So she say with a job,
Mo aged well. She looks like a cool mom type of chick. Some other past R&B singers from that era like Blu Cantrell, Sharissa and other broads just disappeared. Dont know how they eating now.

yep. im a tv-one fanatic. her and Kelly price are basically the main stars of the show. i was about to say that you gotta luv how she was still daughtering dawn robinson on the breakfast club.

lol. you remember the bet awards in 2002? jarule performed like 3 times. i remember we were watching it at my crib and my bul said that jarule was going to fall off hard within the next year. basically because he was too over-exposed and not getting enough love from the core rap audience. and boy was he right. i also remember a couple months later when i said that jarule better be careful with DMX and any rapper in general, because he cant afford to get into a battle with a respected mainstream rapper. and when i said this, i had no clue that 50 cent was signing with dre & em.

Kelly is a b1tch. Im not sure if you saw the last episode, but Kelly had to call her husband when Lil Mo tried to sit down and have a woman to woman convo with her. smh
And before that Lil Mo tore Dawn's a$$ up. LOL.

lol. dawn robinson.:flabbynsick:

but yea, im disappointed. I always assumed that Kelly price was a great person or something. she started off the season playing the faith evans role, and ended up looking like nicki gilbert.

I was offended when she tried to subliminally pull out the boots and Vaseline for chante moore fine azz.

:laff: for a second, ja rule was actually one of the biggest heads in r&b and that DUDE COULD NOT fukkING SING. him and ashanti's duets were godawful together. :smh: and most people were all fronting like they were tight too UNTIL 2003 when 50 cent blew up. i'll never forget how folks that were all up on ja rule's dikk suddenly were disowning that dude fronting like they didn't own any of his albums or were singing his r&b love ballads. shows you how many people will follow instead of going along with their heart.
the funny about about it is that 50 was making fun of ja rule for singing and making love songs yet 50 did a lot of the exact same sh!t ja did.

no thanks.

I mean, if youre talking r&b then sure. but could do without missy's rap career.

.

nah not rap but i still think she brought a unique sound that was all about high energy and really fun. The issue is that nikkas aren't just having fun anymore...gotta be so serious about my strippers and molly and versace

things were WAY MORE SERIOUS when missy was rapping tho.

I do agree about the high energy part. I remember the "get ur freak on" being one of my favorite singles in '01. the original version.
