I'm from NY and I DIDNT support her garbage music. Angie (even though she had ghost writers) is a terrible artist, I just helped me move away from HOT97 faster. All though before she came out i did have a crush on her and got to talk to her once but i digress she's looking :flabbynsick: now

shyt i hated this era of rnb/rap. Those tepid ass tin-sounding drums. Those dumb ass computerized guitar loop. Every song sounded like Fiesta mixed with some Ja Rule bullshyt :snoop:

:laff: i find it hilarious everyone of these songs sound like fiesta and it just slipped right by

the nostalgia a playlist with all these songs tho is :ohlawd:

I remember an interview with Clue saying how he and Duro made the Superwoman beat for M.O.P....but they didnt want it or a scheduling conflict happened. So Clue gave it to Mo, she then got hooked up with Fab. Cant find it though.

So many topics brought into this thread :whew:
1) Live was dope AF up until 08
2) Angie's bars were straight garbage, had terrible camera presence, but those beats were kinda catchy :yeshrug:
3) Ja Rule had several of the GOAT hood ballads. The joints with Charli Baltimore, R. Kelly etc.
4) Lil' Mo is great on the ad libs/features but was underwhelming on her own songs. (Weak songwriter?)

Nas came through and crushed the buildings on that bytch's "music" career type proper. I always wondered how Angie felt about having her song and album Ethered like that. I mean the pure loathing and disgust in Nas's voice was just vulgar:scusthov:

Has Angie ever spoken on that?

The second single... Was that the one where she was all dressed up like a character from Alice In Wonderland or some shyt?
I have no idea bruh. All I remember was "make it hot" was popping and "All n my Grill" too. After that she went on a milk carton box, and later resurfaced on a Camron tack.

Dead serious, I remember Angie Martinez had a record signing for Animal House at Nobody Beats The Wiz in the BX (my NY nikkas know what I'm talking about). I went in there to go get Lord Willin' (Clipse came out that same day) and the way the security was, you woulda thought there was a line around the block to get her signature. That shyt was empty as fukk! And make no mistake, If I Could Go was corny, but it was a hit.

Call me a stan, fukk it, I was rooting for Sacario to make it, but when Live Big came out, 9 out of 10 people heard that shyt and thought "damn Hov got another hit."

That was a good ass time. nikkas thought Sacario and Angelous were Hov, they thought Joe Budden was Rasheed Wallace. Good times, good stuff

this was the time when nikkas wanted to Harlem Shake to EVERY SONG. It didn't matter. Slow song, fast song, nikkas thought they could turn every track into Special Delivery. And people thought it was cool, when really they looked like Waldo from Family Matters

I dont even remember Nicole Wrays 2nd single. All I remember was Make it Hot and her appearance on All N My Grill.
Damn...

The second single was the Missy Elliott produced "I Can't See" which also featured Mocha. The video got a little burn on the radio and it also got play on The Box. Beyond that though, it didn't really go anywhere. The album basically went gold on the strength of "Make It Hot".
