Ok. Out of the 2 choices presented, I choose God. Let me know when you develop a better answer.

That's how you feel.
Do you have an explanation for either of those phenomena?
That's pretty much the same "logic" people used to justify the "existence" of Zeus.
god is the worst answer, you take orders from a book of fablesOk. Out of the 2 choices presented, I choose God. Let me know when you develop a better answer.

No I'm comparing the logic used to "prove" the existence of both. Are you also comparing God to Zeus? We've been through this in this very thread already.
I already haveOk. Out of the 2 choices presented, I choose God. Let me know when you develop a better answer.

it's not a question markA question mark is no kind of answer, friend.
it's not a question mark
I am compelled to believe based on evidence
The more important the belief the more compelling the evidence has to be
given how god has been described, all the evidence points to his non-existence
and no evidence points to his/her/its existence
it's not complicated
The point is I don't just go around believing in things all wily nilly
Important beliefs require discipline not fantasy, the implications are to grave
Human beings need to understand that belief shapes consciousness and consciousness shape action and actions have consequences which determine how much happiness we can experience as a society while alive
I do more than that but even if I did not...problem?So you look at the universe in all it's vastness and the only logical explanation you can draw from all this evidence is the face?
If you think all evidence points to God's non-existence based on "how God has been described" I would have to question the description you were given.
we are not at a point where we can divulge that disagreement so let's leave it to the side for nowI also don't believe things "wily nilly" as you say, and would appreciate it if you kept your groundless preconceived notions out of the convo. I am no straw man. Please understand who you're dealing with.
I do more than that but even if I did not...problem?
no need to do all that
just give me your description
we are not at a point where we can divulge that disagreement so let's leave it to the side for now
I'm not really enjoying this conversation because I'm not feeling the respect I'm offering being reciprocated. As such I'll simply say to me by my way, and to you be yours.
Peace
Well I completely understand the logic in terms of trying to answer those questions.
But the issue is that Zeus and God don't really compare. Zeus was never believed to be the creator of the universe so he isn't really a sufficient answer in this case.
