I understand you're point, but again the logic is still the same. You're existence is not "proof" of some higher being in any meaningful sense. You're belief system informs that "evidence" not the other way around.

Maybe that's how you see it but you can't pass your world view off on me. :yeshrug:

As I said, I understand the logic. Because when I look at the universe, it's logical to me that there is something in charge. A creator is perfectly logical in my mind, all religion aside. Conversely, lack of a creator doesn't make much sense to me. There's too much going on out there for it to all be coincidence. And the more we learn about science, the more sense a creator makes to me. We're discovering fascinating stuff everyday. To blow it all off on chance seems lazy and illogical to me.

I may disagree, but I get it. I think the Greeks applied the same logic, they just articulated it differently.

As for the bolded, I think a counter is there is so much going on that has no practical relevance to our existence that chance is more likely than a divine creator. If there is a God he certainly went to a lot of trouble to create a universe in which man's place is so infinitesimal.

Again, I understand the Greek's logic, breh.

But I can only laugh at your last point. Man's place is infinitesimal? In who's eyes? Not mine. You should focus on your own life and experience and stop pretending you're an alien living billions of galaxies away. Man is infinitesimal in your life? Do you have family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates, etc? What do other galaxies have to do with you, breh? You're making arguments and taking positions that don't even apply to your own self.

Cool :manny:

Just to be clear, I understand perfectly what you're saying. Why would God put us on this tiny little planet in the grand scheme of things. I'm certainly not the one to answer that question. But my counter question is what does all that have to do with you? :heh:

How can an insignificant planet billions of light years away render everything on Earth, the only planet relevant to me, insignificant? I'm not too concerned with the "Snickers" galaxy or the "Twix" galaxy unless one of their planets happens stray into our orbit. I got human being things to tend to.

Just to be clear insignificant is your word not mine.

So you look at the universe in all it's vastness and the only logical explanation you can draw from all this evidence is the :dwillhuh: face?

If you think all evidence points to God's non-existence based on "how God has been described" I would have to question the description you were given.

I also don't believe things "wily nilly" as you say, and would appreciate it if you kept your groundless preconceived notions out of the convo. I am no straw man. Please understand who you're dealing with.

Do you not see the problem with this sentence?

you haven't shown god to even exist. Thats the problem.

You're presupposing something that hasn't been demonstrated and then using that as the basis of your argument.

Its not that we're saying there is not god...we're saying you haven't proven that there is.
