Breh, I swear every out of towner including myself was on some runaway slave shyt living there:francis:. Like the worst part of living in C-Port is that folks can smell a out of towner a mile away. I remember my wife enduring that shyt. Like she always on her stay to herself deem and her co worker went like "you not from around here are you":hhh:. I probably can count on my left hand of how many friendly people I came across while the rest I can lone for a magical rapture to cleanse the country of such a shytty city:scust: (No offense to the fellow Savannah brehs). I think I was done when this one breh didn't know what a resume was :dwillhuh:

yup :francis:

sadly i endured that myself when i first moved there i had a strong Tristate accent ....

and stayed rocking a new york fitted so i got use to being referred to as that "yankee azz n1gga"

it was probally worst for me than you cause i came here in the midst of the EAST COAST WEST COAST beef and the SOUTH particuarly SAVANNAH was riding definitly with PAC and the west coast

i remember almost getting into a fist fight with my roomate's cousin as we was riding to the civic center arena for a game and decide to TRY to put some Too Short cd in my radio..

i immediately ejected that shyt and said NOT TODAY MANE..I DON'T FEEL LIKE HEARING DAT BAY AREA SHYT IN MY CAR :stopitslime:

man this dude responded ..."and i don't feel like hearing none of that puzzy azz NEW YORK SHYT EITHER...FUKK N1GGA...I'LL TAKE THIS CAR!

my roomate had to seperate us ...needless to say we didn't go to the game that evening :snoop:

see i learned quickly

savannah isn't like ATLANTA where they are more welcoming to OUT OF TOWNERS / VISTORS simply cause they feel i guess that out of towners especially new yorkers are out to hustle them

i realized that from my first savannah girlfriend she told me she felt i was some FAST TALKER from NEW YORK that's why she was giving me such a hard time at first when i tried to holla at her...but she eventually got to understand me and warmed up to me like most if not all savannah cats did
:yeshrug:
cause they realized IM A GOOD DUDE...AND IM A BLACK DUDE NOT TRYING TO FUKK THEM OVER...cause i basically BROKE BREAD WITH EVERYBODY when i started doing business here as far as managing and promoting

so i learned real quickly if you wanna SURVIVE and MAKE FRIENDS in that city..ya gotta break bread (show love) and dont compete with these dudes over WOMEN AND MONEY

cause they WILL SHOOT YO AZZ

Do SAV and ATL nikkas beef with each other?

good question...i don't know about this generation

although the last few shootings on savannah state was ATL victims ...its sad

like the home invasion of the ATL cat on the southside who got set up by the SAV girl

the SAV girls are KNOWN FOR SETTING people up

:snoop: byatch had my car stolen in 99

when i was there during the late 90s and early 2000s there was a serious conflict you could tell between ATL and SAV especially on campus

back then SSU had horrible security you could literely walk on campus from the hood cause they had no fence or gate and the campus security was incompentent and hood as fukk

so alot of Savannah natives was basically coming on campus to ROB THE ATL cats ...cause they were easy to target

especially at the clubs like the sports lounge TIGERS DEN across the street...

you would see the savannah cats in the club all discreet and quiet wearing nothing but all black air force ones and a black or white tee and a SAV hat smelling like a pack of black n milds

while the ATL CATS was in there rocking all types of colorful shyt sometimes wearing jewelry and doing all types of DANCE MOVES talkign about ATL HOE!!..ATL HOE!!

next thing you know some CPORT cat got the drop on them and done lined them up outside the club :manny:

i seen it happen alot

then also in the state prisons the savannah cats were known for running the prisons and punking out the ATL dudes.......lots of killers from SAV with nothing to lose

she knows whaussup ^^^

so bonita....my cousin told me they finally locked up them Asians at NANCY SEAFOOD in east savannah for pushing all that weed and THC oil out thier store

i knew the last time i was there and they built rebuilt that second location on the westside into a huge spot that they were selling more than just Crab Cakes :sas1:

he said he gonna send me a link to the story....smh typical savannah ...all the legitimate businesses are nothing but illegal fronts ...

:russ: Exactly! I already knew that they had some extra shyt going on.

There really aren’t that many legit local businesses especially in East SAV.

The sad part is that the city is majority black, yet somehow black folks allow the fukkery to happen:what:. Like black folks out there would rather dig for scraps and allow the foolishness to happen (politics, police corruption, WOAT economy), than actually fighting to fix the past issues of the city. Then again, the city's backbone was slavery :aicmon:

nah sir....i actually disagree with this part of your statement

one positive thing i can say about Savannah is that due to the PORT being the busiest on the east coast and the Military bases such as Hunter and Stewart not to far away it's ALWAYS HAD A SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY

and the cost of living was NEVER an issue till SCAD (savannah college of art design) bought up many parts of the city along with the gentrification projects going on

but nonetheless

job creation has NEVER been a problem here..in fact after college i would have stayed had upper management been able to match my salary offering i was getting from a firm out of town

that's the only issue is the WAGES ....alot of time companies and bosses dont feel the need to upgrade thier pay cause they don't have nobody to compete with in these parts

savannah is the only significant city in this low country area cause JACKSONVILLE is two hours away..so is CHARLESTON and ATL is 4 hours away

all these surrounding country areas like bulloch county...screven....parts of south carolina have to come to SAVANNAH for the jobs....

so they have a monoopoly and don;t have to compete to keep workers

my only issue is the lack of unions here and the lack of networking amongst the BOSSES IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY

seem like the only cats willing to do business with each other is the ones related to each other ..its a shame

i had so many ventures in savannah fall apart simply cause of fear of those willing to take chances with an outsider such as myself

so it's alot of NEPOTISIM in the work force and private sector here....

actually the only field with little barrier of entry is the streets....like i said if you willing to break bread the streets will do business wit ya

Breh I remember working for a non profit agency out there and it was like a family reunion. I felt like such an outsider to the point that my ideas would get shot down in a instant. For instance, I pitched a technical support/computer training room to actually help out not only the agency with the COUNTLESS computer problems, but help train some of the clients that come into my office just to get free gas and internet time which really pissed me off. Of course my idea was turned down and I didn't get rightfully paid for my contributions of not sitting on my ass and help with this trend of "job development" to make the company look good. Also, the GED training concept that I tried to pitch...lmao of course not, because God forbid a dude from Philly can actually fixed the main issue that was effecting the organization despite being told to make a change:beli:. As far as the economy, yeah I retrace my statement since there are jobs out in that city but 50 percent of the folks out there would rather bytch about being broke instead of seeing whats popping with Indeed. Just some horror stories of dealing with clients who claim the city is fukked despite seeing now hiring signs out of the ass every step I went, and this was the beginning stages of the recession ending :francis:

i feel your pain mane....trust me

the problem with Savannah is the nepotisim is promoted by mostly the SINGLE BLACK WOMEN of savannah whom aren't USE TO A PROGRESSIVE THINKING BLACK MAN as yourself...

im just being honest..most of the black dudes there were LIVING OFF OF WOMEN or not compentent or confident enough to LEAD..so WOMEN look down on guys who can think for themselves

i actually got told by one of my exes that the main reason shyt wont work for me in savannah cause i come off INTIMIDATING simply because i know how to express myself and put action to words

she said she was so use to so many weak azz lying nikkas it intimidated her as well when she dated me ....

im going thru this shyt now...i actually was suppose to be in Savannah tonight to assist with a show promotion at a nightclub linked with the whole HOMECOMING THEME of the hbcu SAVANNAH STATE

but myself and the SINGLE BLACK FEMALE PROMOTER are not on speaking terms apparantly cause her lame azz business partner another BLACK FEMALE sees me as an OUTSIDER trying to drive them apart with my "fancy paperwork" and "bright ideas"

:gucci:
im like byatch ....all im doing is consulting you on this and i don't get PAID till yall get paid..and what she fails to realize as i pointed out your "business partner" is ROBBING YOU ....no reason for your cut to be lessened because she gets the door tabs and drinks at the bar ...it should be a stronger percentage

so im like FINE FUKK YALL.......ill still attend homecoming festivities in savannah but I WONT BE DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE NON PROGRESSIVE PEOPLE

we are NOT ON THE SAME PAGE AT ALL...damn shame shyt ain't changed since the 90s WHEN I WENT TO SCHOOL HERE :manny:

im going thru the same shyt

Damn, that shyt sounds almost similar to when DC and Bmore nikkas used to beef with each other back in the day.

And I think I remember seeing some hood video on YouTube of SAV nikkas as recently as the mid 2010s still not really fukking with ATL like that. I think ATL nikkas be calling SAV folks “geechie ass nikkas” or sumn like that.

And LOL, with my generation and the next, if you rocking a pair of black Air Forces, that means you finna get the drop on a nikka after setting them up :russ: SAV nikkas sound like they be on some grimey country shyt heavy, which is ironic because some GA ppl be saying ATL nikkas are more country in comparison...I guess moreso in how they carry themselves.

yeah ATL always took a condescending look towards savannah ...cause the ATLwas the "big city"

And while most places in the south looked up to ATL...the savannah perspective was WE DONT DIKKRIDE

thats why the MIAMI BOYZ couldn't do shyt there and the Shower Posse got ran da fukk out when they tried to post up in fellwood homes (west savannah)

but in the greater scheme of things...SAVANNAH is a small city with BIG CITY characteristicsN especially when it came to CRIME..it is actually the first city in georgia was the original capital

and not only that every rapper from the A has had a six degree connection with the city of Savannah whether it was positive or negative as the case with Gucci which was sad to say a true story :manny:

Some nikkas tried to wet me up
Shot up my truck in East Atlanta
Want to set me up
Bbecause I tricked this nikka in Savannah
They put some money on my head
I had to move to Alabama
Started poppin' with my cousin
Mixing 'caine with Arm & Hammer

Yeah I done Business with both of Flauge babymamas

Good people ....

One actually helped me clean up my credit as a struggling college student

So thankful foe that
:mjcry:

I went to Savannah State just 3 years after Rickey got sentenced to the Feds

I remember this quite clearly cause at the time I was dating the babymama of one of his capos from East Savannah named "High"

Ricky's case was one of the reasons I got into journalism SSU to pursue a career as a writer in the True Crime genre

Cause the case was so contrversial and full exposed alot of corruption within the city
Doing my Googles on this Ricky Jivens guy.

mane...all the barbershops in savannah are HOT...

if they ain't in the "game" then they got dudes walking in there with a million hustles lol

let me guess you was either at the shop on MLK or the one out on MONTGOMERY or maybe the legendary "BOYZ 2 MEN" barbershop on Bull street... :umad:

the same boyz 2 men shop where a n1gga walked up to me offering to tint my windows on my car while i get my haircut :mjlol:

gotta luv it....so many times i had to say to myself "only in savannah" :manny:

yeah the game is deep there...its the C PORT for a reason...so much dope is run thru that port its crazy ..every other month a ship gets detained by customs with multikilos of cocaine or tons of weed

this is the place of the orgin of that whole KRYPTonite theme by BIG BOI who is from west savannah

krypt when i was here was a popular strain which they were homegrowing in the rural areas of savannah along with the Purp

so yeah ..the game is deep as fukk espeically when u see the political rammifications of it
Doing even more Google's on Savannah.

:ohhh:

thats how they do here...they just dont KILL YOU..they kill you in a Dramatic fashion to let you know it's real if you crossed them

like Camoflauge who was savannah's most infamous rapper...they shot him in the head while his own SON was in his arms :damn:

and i can't forget all the violence that use to occur at the spot called Rosettes night club aka "Bucket of Blood" :snoop:

when they shot that girl and then laid her up at the front door steps of the nearby church for display...

i said AS SOON AS I GET MY MONEY RIGHT AFTER GRADUATION..I AM GETTING DA FUKK OUTTA HERE :camby:

Fort Stewart is nice but it's NOT in savannah that's like 40 miles away in liberty county (hinesville) .....

Hunter Army Airfield is the base located in savannah and its just as much fukkery as savannah

i first got my contracting license via the government in Hunter and the shyt i witnessed was crazy

we actually had the DEA coming on site virtually every day to investigate the Sergant that worked with me because he alledgedly was trafficking drugs via the transportation we used on the base :snoop:

and all dem hoes at HUNTER was the most cheating pieces of shyt women i ever seen in my life

met one chick who i ASSUMED was single was actually still married to her officer husband who was over in Korea at the time ..while im in thier knocking the lining out her puzzy and drinking up his liquor and playing on his pool table in his man cave

they had a nightclub on base the NCO club (non commisioned officers) club that was opened to the public this was in the 90s before 9/11 when it was easy to come on military bases as a vistor ...as well as long as you had a Georgia ID

we use to go to when i was in school down there...mane they had to shut that shyt down cause the Civilians and Soldiers would get into fights and sometimes shootouts all the time
