I went to Savannah State just 3 years after Rickey got sentenced to the Feds

I remember this quite clearly cause at the time I was dating the babymama of one of his capos from East Savannah named "High"

Ricky's case was one of the reasons I got into journalism SSU to pursue a career as a writer in the True Crime genre

Cause the case was so contrversial and full exposed alot of corruption within the city

Minneapolis, Minnesota is respected for arts, music & more. It's also a tourist central. Best mall out there. Our Downtown & Uptown be off the chain.

& These white people out here trying to get it more known, they're not playing. I've seen us top 5 in some of the things that cities get rankings on.

nah trust me not at all breh...when i arrived here for college back in the late 90s...there were parts of east savannah that reminded me of Brooklyn

its always been way more diverse and cultured than the traditional southern cities...lots of jews from new york...alot of ADOS pro black activity when i was there

matter of fact Khalid Muhammad from the NOI use to come here alot..they have a NOI study group here...ever since the NOI TEMPLE got closed during the early 2000s and the Black Panther party was strong here too...shoutout SHABAZZ RESTAURANT ...cant forget Bro. Bey and Talim Bey from West savannah ..i met a number of Gods here too...i met at the HBCU

them REAL REDNECK CRAKKKERS hate savannah..they stay outside in the outer areas like REBEL COUNTY (effingham) where all the metheads and farmers and hunters reside

they know not to try anything in savannah....these BOYS SMOKING WHITE FOLKS too...

every year you hear about some white girl or boy that mysteriously got KILLLED and they lock up some "brothers' for it..

usually its because White folks stay coming to the CPORT (savannah) for drugs

so nah IT AIN'T NOTHING LIKE THE SOUTH...actually kind a wish it was...cause THESE MOFOS AIN'T GOT NO HOSPITALITY HERE ..they rude as fukk

Reminds me of the time where this manager got in a shouting contest with me and my wife because she forgot to give us a extra fukking patty on our Wendys double cheese burger. She had the gall to say that I took it, I'm like bytch DO I REALLY HAVE THE TIME OR DECENCY TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Even the bums in that shythole have no type of dignity. Usually a bum asked you for a dollar or a quarter, this mofo asking for accurate funds like 5 dollars and 23 cents . Like this dude really laid down the exact amount of money he wanted to bum off of me

That's smooth as hell man. Bruh I went to school and had classes with his son Lil Ricky. He was pretty chill and was just on heauxs and wasn't out for glory like his dad. The City was and still is hella corrupt man.

Back in hs my barbershop was kinda hot. Me and my boy walked to the shop one Saturday for a cut. When we get there this man Jim Jones was posted across the street on his whip talkin with one of the barbers. That's when I knew the game was deeper than i imagined

mane...all the barbershops in savannah are HOT...

if they ain't in the "game" then they got dudes walking in there with a million hustles lol

let me guess you was either at the shop on MLK or the one out on MONTGOMERY or maybe the legendary "BOYZ 2 MEN" barbershop on Bull street...

the same boyz 2 men shop where a n1gga walked up to me offering to tint my windows on my car while i get my haircut

gotta luv it....so many times i had to say to myself "only in savannah"

yeah the game is deep there...its the C PORT for a reason...so much dope is run thru that port its crazy ..every other month a ship gets detained by customs with multikilos of cocaine or tons of weed

this is the place of the orgin of that whole KRYPTonite theme by BIG BOI who is from west savannah

krypt when i was here was a popular strain which they were homegrowing in the rural areas of savannah along with the Purp

some bum asked for some spare change...so i was feeling generous and decided to give him the change from my BK purchase

next thing you know as im walking to exit .... i hear ching a ling..ching a ling (the sound of coins on the floor)

i turn around to see that the BUM had threw my change down on the floor towards my direction..

talking about..."n1gga I DON'T NEED YO DIMES"


I was like WHAT?!?!?!?

put my food down and started to head towards him till my boy restrained me and said.."MAN IT AIN'T WORTH IT...LEAVE HIM BE...WE GOTTA GET BACK TO WORK...BESIDES HE LOOK LIKE HE AIN'T GOT NOTHING TO LOSE IN A FIGHT"


my boy was right...so i learned the best way to SURVIVE in SAVANNAH is to avoid CONFRONTATION AT ALL TIMES
