Did your thing bro :salute:

Bro I can't thank you enough for making this possible, this is far and away my best project to date :blessed:

@FruitOfTheVale

You're hella talented, bruh. I dig the tempo and the song composition, every track bleeds into the next one organically. Keep hustling fam, your rap game is tight!

:wow: Shiit as soon as this quarantine dissipates I'm about to be performing this mothafukka even if its only crowds of 10 :mjlol:

Come to think of it, independent rappers really took an L with the new pandemic rules :huhldup:

I think you may have tagged me in some other thread breh that I never got to actually look in so this is owed.
Off 1st listen...

The sound is very cohesive, which make total sense with the lion's share being from 1 person. I can't speak on mixing since I listened through phone speakers :pachaha:

The standouts to me are Due the Most, Truly, Payback (I will is probably the most "accessible" record), and Stop the Show has standout potential but I feel like you could've attacked the song differently as far as cadence and melody. I think your initial form of attack should've continued on, while the subject matter may seem like it calls for catchiness, the beat itself deserved to be cooked with the slick talk and the catchiness melody saved exclusively for the hook. A melodic 8 bar bridge after a 2nd verse and 3rd hook could've worked. Got a Plot is one I'm looking forward to hearing finished, it's the only record I can see the Incomplete label on so I don't know if I'm commenting on any undone records.

I'm not a fan of the 2 minute song era that we're in, but I understand its purpose in certain dosages. I do think that trend has something to do with the current crop of hot rappers not being that dedicated/good at the craft so they disguise it with brevity. I'm saying all that to say I feel you're not in that boat and too good to keep all your records that short, but like I said I can't see but 1 Incomplete tag so I may be wrong on how many records are actually gonna end up under 3 minutes.

While I'm aware it has to sometimes be done and have done them on my tracks, secondary vocals to fill in certain lines are something I'm not a huge fan of because I feel like they take away the organic feel of a breh getting his shyt off his chest and make some verses sound, for a lack of better words, try-hard. Your voice is distinct enough to not need the shyt at all, I feel like they hurt you more than help because you don't need anymore reinforcement to convince the audience of what you're saying.

Sequencing is something better judged when you're actually done, but to be honest I feel like if were in your circle and the room to give help on that front, I'd struggle to do so because the emphasis on lyricism has left room for a little diversity on subject matter, though I will listen again to make sure my rap hiatus hasn't made me dull because while dope, your cadence is an unconventional follow. That's where I felt like Stop the Show could be a stand out because the subject matter was different and identifiable.

Edit: I also will piggyback off Mowgli you seemed comfortable with your cadence in a way that calls for a little more diversity. That might help with the subject matter point.

Overall good work bro

Wow :whew: This why I love TheColi, this type of insight & energy for Hip Hop is very, very rare on the internet and I've ran into it regularly on here :wow: I realize you speaking from the POV of a creative but a lot of "creative spaces" on the internet simply do not got real love for the craft like that. Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts bro :wow::wow:
