My take on the East next year without knowing the offseason moves and the Pistons

I would say that getting a 5 who could shoot would be nice to have, it's not a killer. Detriot really fukking did it. I am proud of you guys. As a former guy who tanked and loved every move my team made in the 1st round, I am really feeling Detriot right now and I don't feel many teams at all moves including my Hawks in the highlight era. But you got a core. How the shooting develops with Hayes and Cunningham will take you, your future. Cunningham is baby Grant Hill to me but this team around him is much more appealing than the bullshyt they put around Grant in the 90s.
You guys have shooting, defensive, athleticism, and size. That can win you a lot of RS games. Coach Casey is really good at rigid formulas as well.
Next year, I do expect some teams to improve: ATL, PHI, BOS, CHA, and IND. I can see others staying the same or dropping. That 9th or 10th spot could be had.

BOS - Getting Horford back is massive for what they do. It will be interesting to see who's their coach.
BRK - I think this was their best chance honestly. Most are going to play in the Olympics. They are already injury-prone. Chemistry with the big 3 is fine, it's with the rest of the guys and Nash has to improve but at the end of the day, they got the big 3 so you gotta have them as a top team.

I think DET could end up on this tier if they get more vet depth.

TOR - It all depends on Lowry, if he stays, moved them up a tier.

WAS - I think they will move Beal and Westbrook. Dinwiddle is the key. If he goes to the Lakers. That makes it impossible to really move Russ. If Russ is still there even if Beal is moved. I can see them going to the next tier with something like this:
