what’s wrong with a Phoenix-Milwaukee finals?

it's nowhere near the matchup i would've thought we'd be getting at the beginning of the season or even up until game 7 of the nets-bucks series

from an NBA biz perspective, it's likely not what they'd expect or want to happen either. phoenix and Milwaukee aren't draws for casuals, and while they want to promote giannis, they'd prefer him to be playing against lebron & the lakers, or even the clips, not a phoenix or utah.

If people can’t get invested in a final four that includes a team led by a 2x MVP in his prime trying to win his first ring, an underdog team led by one of the brightest young stars in the league, an exciting young squad anchored by a legendary veteran trying win his 1st ring, and a team from LA trying to win their 1st ring in franchise history…the NBA and their broadcasters can’t blame anyone but themselves.

I was thinking about this too. Pretty good series for us basketball diehards but the Finals will not have anyone who draws casuals in unless the Clippers make it
