What Yall think of this ?


TLDW he's basically talking about half reps and how staying in the lower half can provide benefits and shouldn't be discounted as "cheating" or whatever. I don't know how this would translate to lifting heavier weights but I did notice it's popular with people doing push-ups and other calisthenics

People should really ask themselves if having their PT training them primarily on glute work is what they really want as a 30 something year old man that isn’t in shape

There is some new research that shows lower half reps are just as hypertrophic as full reps. There's more studies coming out in 2025 on the topic to test for different exercises, but I'd say what he's saying is pretty accurate. I didn't watch the video, but I know a lot of inmates swear by the half rep push ups. Jay Cutler would do half reps on chest work to keep the tension on the chest throughout the set.

Been going to this small gym for a few months. The physiques are better than average.

I hardly see anyone doing the standard barbell squats, deadlifts, bench press or incline bench press. The Smith machine doesn’t get much use either.

I’m 190 at the same height. This before I started focusing on arms as well. You just got close to the mirror to showcase 40 percent body fat

I’m 190 at the same height. This before I started focusing on arms as well.

Geaux back and look at my sleeves ...they have stretch marks on the arms breh....that's solid ratio of fat, bicep brachii and tricep growth.

Make sure you do your hammer curls, preacher Curls and bicep curls+dips, tricep exts (rope and v bar) and CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS.

Then tris love close grip bench press and eat.

Lol y'all skinny negroes got it easy ....just eat and lift. We fat negroes got it harder but we gain muscle and strength easier as hell...but can get fatter so easy smh.

But yes...do those 6 excercises and deadlift and squat and your arms will grow.:salute:

Hey yall both fat to me.

Saw my gym OG today for the first time in forever. Based on my age he has to be early to mid 60’s but doesn’t look it. Still throwing 225 on the bar for squats, probably more but I was in my zone. Chopped it up for a bit, super positive brother that does his lifting and cardio to keep that longevity.
That's inspiring. I actually don't know too many elders that are really fit like that.

You coping right now. Being that overweight with none of the benefits is counterproductive.

Saying just eat and lift is how people end up in your situation. Being fat doesn’t somehow turbo charge your muscle building because you’d think at some point your muscularity would supercede that 40percent body fat.
