I worked on bicep yesterday. Dumbbell curls with 35 lbs dumbbells. Ran 4.0 miles.

word, I learned quickly about ego lifting. Especially racking up weight with squats. For someone with my size and build anything over 3 plates is asking for trouble and an injury down the line. I've literally felt injuries coming right around the corner even when executing lifts with great form, but had enough sense to stop.

Been blessed to be injury free all my life....
I don't ego lift. Form is important. But I'll attempt heavy weights with either a spotter or if I am in a squat rack, I'll just lower the bar to the spot bars. I don't have an issue with a failed attempt.

It's part of the program that I'm doing. Plus it's my favorite lift. Now front squats that shyt is awful.
Program? Okay. Whatever works for you.
Max squat I hit was 365 lbs. A bit more than double my body weight at the time in my 20s. No power lifting. No bodybuilding. No team sports. Just a personal goal to lift as much as I could.
Nowadays, I can hit a max of 300 or 305 depending on the day.

Oly grip? Have you tried the bodybuilder/cross hand?

I can't complete the movement using the Oly grip so I know what you mean.

Cross hand doesn't do it for me. So yes I use the Hook grip. I saw a kid at the local high school doing 465 squats the other day for a record. I was thinking to myself "fukk that", but he is young in the 11th grade.

hope im not working my arms chest and back too much...didnt work out yeterday and i felt that good soreness...
worked my back mostly today shoulders bis and tris too thats it...
Golds Gym daycare is hella convenient
