I'm squatting 250... I don't plan to ever go above that at my age.

Good for you

Speaking from experience, the risk of injury is not worth it. Squatting more than that is useless in real life unless you are a paid athlete. One injury can set you back for a long time. A simple hip strain has damaged my entire lower body mechanics, and I got that strain from 5X5 squatting.

Dudes dont wanna hear it until it happens to them.

I can finally left 224 but only 5 reps... :mjcry:

Max squat it 224, but 8-10 reps. Some one told mi I should squat ass to the grass, but I only go a little be low with the 224... :wow:

word, I learned quickly about ego lifting. Especially racking up weight with squats. For someone with my size and build anything over 3 plates is asking for trouble and an injury down the line. I've literally felt injuries coming right around the corner even when executing lifts with great form, but had enough sense to stop.

Been blessed to be injury free all my life....

yeh I won't devolve into the biomechanics, but anything that isn't atg is a half squat, and put you potentially at risk for injury because it's not properly stretching the primary mover(agonist). There's nothing wrong with lowering the weight and going atg or simply doing front squats(which are arguably the best squats). Imo most people tend to do front squats atg np....

It's easier to trust for some reason.

:noah:need to get some uniform shirts tailored this weekend.
Don't sleep on these. I literally wake up shower then throw this on and go about my day. These shirts perfectly show my physique. And I get away with rocking a small, without looking extra douche baggy :wow:

I agree. I guess my ego is the big part of the reason why I don't want to lower my weight. But I'll lower my weight and true the front squats.

I'm thinking about doing the 5X5 workout.
