No homo I want to send a picture to someone and see which 1 I should do
Honestly you aren't going to be happy either way with your mindset:

Building muscle with minimal fat gain is a extremely slow process. As frustrated as you have been losing this is going to be worse.

How high are you going to build towards? You are what 5'8 230ish? Are you going to 250? 260? Guess what the wight is sill got to come off so you are going to be back to losing fat.

Think about it like this. I'm an inch taller than you and around 188. I'm on the edge of being in "decent shape". Everybody carries weight differently but the fact remains Building muscle from this point with going to require you to lose a lot of fat that's going to come with the gains.

I'm rooting for you but you gotta make a decision and either way it's not going to be easy and it's going to be a long process.

I have different ones. :manny:

low weight high rep.
135 lbs. x 10 reps
155 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps
175 lbs. x 10 reps

ladder (or pyramid)
135 lbs x 10 reps
155 lbs x 10 reps
175 lbs x 10 reps
195 lbs x 10 reps
225 lbs x 10 reps
245 lbs. x 10 reps
265 lbs x 6 reps (or if you can go to 10)
285 lbs. x 3 reps (or more if you can)
305 lbs x 1 rep (or more if you can)
295 lbs. x 1 rep (you can attempt 315 or go down to 285 depending on how you are feeling)
285 lbs. x 1 rep

heavy - it's not an aerobic workout. I take a good break between the one rep sets so no lactic acid is hanging around. I do this is the squat rack and am comfortable with putting the barbell down on the spotter bars if I can't make the attempt.
135 lbs. x 10 reps
155 lbs .x 10 reps
225 lbs. x 5 reps
275 lbs. x 5 reps
295 lbs. x 1 rep
305 lbs. x 1 rep
315 lbs. x 1 rep
305 lbs. x 1 rep (if you can go up to 335, go ahead. maintaining squat depth is more important than going heavier but not going as deep)
305 lbs. x 1 rep
295 lbs. x 1 rep
285 lbs. x 1 rep
275 lbs. x 1 rep

I went
135 lbs. x 10 reps
155 lbs .x 10 reps
225 lbs. x 5 reps
275 lbs. x 5 reps
295 lbs. x 1 rep
305 lbs. x 1 rep
315 lbs. x 1 rep
325 lbs. x 1 rep
335 lbs. x 1 rep
345 lbs. x 1 rep
350 lbs. x 1 rep
225 lbs. x 10 reps

Legit almost passed out after the last set.

Yea @brother walt one way or another u got a good year or two before u will get somewhere satisfactory.

Me personally I would just cut cut cut cut cut..... yea it sucks to be weak in the gym, but it sucks even more to be fat. And no matter how strong u get, if u are fat eventually u are gonna get weak. Might as well get that shyt out of the way now. Right now Im the weakest Ive been in a long time, but Im not even stressing that shyt cause I look the best Ive ever looked in a long time. Once u get down to a level of body fat where u are satisfied w/ur look and can stay within range u will be OK IMO.
