Did my /me lower today. Used the trap bar for my deads today and Prob will used that to change it up from the conventional deads. Also because it puts less stress and lower back. Plus I wanna do deads where I can do 10 reps.

And man front squats are fricking tough. Did 3 x 10 with 185 and I Prob could of went higher but didn't Push it. What's crazy is that 205 is my warm up weight for my back squats. But then again I've been doing back squats for over a year and this was the 2nd time doing front squats. So I'll just give it time.

Don't be fooled 185 3x10 is a good number all things being equal. Well that's my opinion anyway.

Does anyone not mess with cheat days? I'm starting to notice if I do a cheat day, the cheat lasts more then intended. And I don't like it

I had that issue and the key thing for me was establishing an eating structure. For the most part, I keep the same eating structure but instead of having oatmeal and a boiled egg for breakfast, on a cheat day I would allow myself something less healthy. I always change eating structures though because I like to try new things. Right now I'm trying just 3 meals a day based on the advice of this nutritionist I saw and I have a general eating window from 6am-8pm. On cheat days I am still having 3 meals, they may not be the healthiest. I also try to keep portion sizes in consideration but only because I feel miserable if I over eat.

Try to stop viewing it as a "cheat". Long term find an avenue to allow you to have items that likely should make up a smaller percentage of your overall nutrition.

Restriction needs an outlet.

Dont sweat it

My peak on back squats was 3x5x325-335 I think and 3x8x295. I'm deep into a cut now, but I just started doing front squats and I'm finding 3x9x185 challenging. I tried to go to 195 and I swear my core gave out. I have the video. A lot of it is just learning the motor pattern but it's also a totally new stress. Now that I'm used to the grip (I do cross arm) I think I may run with it as my main quad movement.

It's just so crazy how big the drop off is. I used to think back & front squats were interchangeable, but it's clear that everybody should be doing both. Outside of injuries factored in.

Also my back has been sore as hell doing 10 rep trap bar deads yesterday. I did 185, 225 and 245 on the 3 sets. I think my form was good but I just gotta make sure of it when I do it again next week.
