Standing military press is a true test of manhood
Have to brace the shyt out of your abs.... prob wont hurt to wear a belt. Think about it.... your back arches.... to keep it from arching u have to flex ur abs. Standing shoulder BB press is an underrated lift, it is very technical and demanding. I stopped doing these cause they hurt my back and I dont have the time to master that technique right now. I just do seated DB press. Even with that you have to brace the abs... feels totally different.
You have to squeeze your glutes that's the main thing. Strict pike presses will put some slabs on your shoulders also if you can't do handstand pushupsI enjoy doing standing, been doing it belt less now too, joints are taxing as hell. Did 185 for 5 earlier in the week and

Still feeling the set I did on Moday....my OHP gains progress possibly slower than my bench. Around 75% of my body weight so that's pretty good for that lift.
yea, Id think I`d be doing 225 for reps on OHP lol
The way I see the belt thing, u can train core separate... but theres no reason to expose urself to injury while u are still building ur core.Starting Sunday I`m going back to full body workouts, probably will do 2-3 big lifts each workout then 1 accessory lift for each big lift
ie. Standing Military Press + Squats then do side laterals, stiff leg dead, and 2 bicep routines.
I`m trying to refrain from using my belt to develop core strength more, also I`m not going OD heavy on things like Squats because I`m working more so on form, because I`d be dong 500+ on the squat but my form was not good, and at that weight can't afford to snap my ish.
Which is crazy I do about 155lbs. for OHP, but going with 100s on db seated press feels easier.

I like your idea for your routine though. When I get the home gym popping I will probably move from an upper/lower to a full body split. Save a little more time
I feel like the higher activity will be good for your cut breh.... u should try it, eat more and see how that affects weight loss. Im working out 5x/week and riding my bike ~26 miles a week and still only losing 1lb/wk at ~2200 caloriesthe 5 day splits are dope/fun is you aren't trying to diet, but the raise in Activity level makes me wild hungry, I noticed when I do full body splits my hunger is in check, the trade off is they are a tad boring, but they work.
With the belt thing, I`m not going "heavy" as in close to max so I`m not worried about injury, even when I used my belt I only used it for when I was going near my max.

U sound like u got room to play
I cant fukk w/technical lifts. I learned my lesson all those years of my back constantly hurting from deadlifts. I got respect for people who master shyt like OHP tho

I feel u. I cook in bulk on Sundays and lift on my lunch break so time at home is no biggie for me. Might get a little tougher with the home gym but we will see.I tried it in the past, and it's just harder for me to be discipline because I like to eat, of example I was lifting 5 times a week 1-2 cardio sessions and eating 3k cals and losing 2lbs a week, but for some reason after a few weeks I`d always fall off, while when I do my 3 day full body and bump up the cardio, I have actually faired better, idk if its mental or what. I think another issue could be is being in the gym so much from a lifting standpoint when I get home I dont feel like cooking I just want a lot of food quick if tat makes sense. I tried 5 day splits about 2-3 times and they always turn into mini bulks lol
