These cacs fake stunting in the gym with the bumper weights....thought these boys were deadlifting legit 315 and 405....There is like a outside gym portion for deadlifts and olympic lifts which is real nice. Got 455 for two reps and called it a night. Dude tried to come up to me and "advised" me to use a lifting belt and gloves.
Yeah, most bumper plates are color coded. I've been in some where all the bumper plates were black. You have to read the weight that is molded into the plate.

red = 55 lbs or 25 KG
blue = 45 lbs or 20 KG
yellow = 35 lbs or 15 KG
green = 25 lbs or 10 KG

Skip the wrist wraps. You want to build up your wrist strength.
Why are you benching 4 times a week? Most you should be doing is 3 times a week, if you give yourself a one day break after a workout.

There's...no such thing as wrist strength to my knowledge. There's forearm and grip strength, but not wrist strength. There's a reason most powerlifters use them in competition.

Running smolov jr for bench. Wanna get my bench up to 300 bad...

The ones we got are all black...they were using the 25s. The few 4th we did have some guy was using for snatches

Right, wrist straps help your forearms or whatever muscles during the bench press. Power lifters use them in competition because they are an aid.
If you start using it, you will increase your chest, shoulder and tricep muscles to handle X lbs. in the bench press. Then, when you take the wrist wraps off, your bench magically goes down for some reason.
Think about it. You want to increase your grip strength at the same time you increase your chest and tricep strength. I used to have wrist wraps. I stopped using them a long time ago after reading an article about wrist wrap use. Look at the pro bodybuilders, are they using wrist wraps during training all the time?
It's for your benefit not to become dependent on them.

I dunno…I think it depends…
…the wrist is basically a joint.
So if you are born w/ small wrist, there is nothing you can do about it.
Some people are more prone to wrist injuries no matter how strong they are.

I have small ass wrist too…and I can't even think about BB Shoulder Pressings more than 115 w/o my wrist hurting the next few days.

Doesn't matter. I started bench press with a measly 85 lbs.
It takes time to build up muscle mass. I still don't wear wrist straps and I worked my way up to 275 lbs. Your tendons and ligaments connect from your wrists to your forearms. You got Popeye forearms, you got grip strength.

fam…we are all different.
What YOU can do, doesn't mean anything to what I or anyone else can do.
There is no one size fits all answer to these issues.

Chris Jones has big ass forearms and is strong as fukk…yet his wrist still give him issue.

6.5 inch wrists :mjcry:

Benching more than 135 takes my wrists out of commission for a few minutes so I can stretch them

Ive only been at it for 6 months but the baby wrists coupled with 6'6 armspan is hell on chest day, but I can row way more than I bench. The longer arms seem to be a plus for back day

Why do the same shyt 4x a week? Contest prep or something?

Smolov Jr in an attempt to hit a 300 bench as fast as possible. I'm around 280ish now. A few people I know have done 2-4 consecutive cycles of it with great results.

Tbh wraps, in the limited time I have used them, didn't really add anything to my bench, but did make my wrist feel a bit better. As it is without them they bend but not much. I feel your logic is somewhat flawed like when people say you don't use your core at all when in a powerlifting belt. Not to get all :demonic:and not take your advice, but overloading where my wrist is weak, I can push bigger weight and eventually hit bigger numbers. Even with wraps your forearms are still being activated. As long as I can say I did it raw, I don't really care what equipment I have to admit using breh. I ain't trying to be a BBer here (not at this point in time anyways). If greats like Dan Green, Jeremy Hamilton, Ray Williams, etc are using them...well yeah. :smugdraper:

Besides, there's nothing I can really do about the low bar squatting :heh:

Also, 245 for 10x3 today. OUCH.
