I've been making very nice progress doing a full body workouts 3 times a week with 3 cardio days and obviously 1 rest day. But I need figure out when I should move to a push/pull/legs split. I'm more so concerned eventually doing bench press, squats and deadlifts all in the same day may eventually be too much.

Some guy was squatting next to me yesterday and was telling me he wanted to hit clean reps at parallel or just below. Guy kept getting people to spot him for singles and asked them every time if he hit parallel. They kept telling him he was, but breh every single time he wasn't even close :mindblown:. Eventually failed on 365.

I know not to give unsolicited advice on form in the gym or else they get all :demonic:, but man it was kinda hard to hold it in and not say anything.
You could just ask him if he wants a cell phone video taken to see how low he goes.
On another forum, this dude was all proud that he could squat 400+ pounds, but his leg press was in the 300+ lbs. :wtf: I told him that you can usually do more in the leg press because your body is involving less of the lower back. I told him he's probably not going down low enough in the squat, I didn't call him a liar or a p*ssy because he was a relatively cool dude. He didn't think so. So I suggested that he get a cell phone video of himself doing a squat with heavy weight. He thought that was a good idea. He never replied about that video or his squat capabilities after that.

I took a video of myself once just to make sure how low I'm going. Not ATG but about parallel.

All that gym time has paid off:wow:

Starting a very physical job soon, had to take a physical fitness/strength test to get hired. They said I scored the highest total score they have had to date:wow:

Little scrawny ass 5'9" 165 lbs Adam out here outperforming all these small town manly mem blue collar Iowa farmboys:wow:

shyt had my heart pumping out of my chest though:damn:

They have this equipment that locks a stationary bar that you have to lift against, so they resistance is unmoveably heavy:damn:

Had me do: (both arms)

Grip strength
Pinch strength
Wrist rotation inside and outside
Wrist curl
Bicep curl
Front shoulder raise
Stiff legged deadlift
Deadlift

Most squats in 15 seconds
Most situps in 15 seconds
Dealifting a box with weight in it up to a table 4 times in 20 seconds, adding 10 lbs each time up to 100 lbs with only 20 seconds rest

Anyone in this forum would pass with flying colors....I just thought it was crazy that my little ass self had the highest score against all these rednecks out here:heh:
Very physical job? You are going to be too tired to workout than before.
Get some kind of non-leather weight lifting belt and wear it at work from beginning to end. You don't want to injure yourself at work.

I myself just go below parallel. I don't have the mobility to do ATG. I get nasty butt wink when I do.
I can go ATG with maybe 70% of max. I'm talking homo-gay ATG. But I've always maintained my flexibility to avoid sports injuries.

Can someone explain why I get sever cramps on leg day only? I'm taking walking through the hall at work hit by a sniper bad. Never get these issues on any other day.

The only thing that concerns me about doing upper and lower is combining my deadlifts and squats in the same workout. But then again being able to work each body part 3 times per 2 weeks or twice a week if I only have 2 cardio days is very enticing tbh.

You can rotate the intensity of each per workout. Day 1 is a more intense for Deads and Day 2 more intense for Squats.

Lot of people do it. I did it for a while. U get used to it. Plus u can vary it. Do heavy squats and some light deadlift variation one day then switch it the next time.
