I often see all my gym bros when I do lower body, which is twice a week. Now most of my gym bros think all I do is legs...

I hit upper body 2-3x a week and they're never there. :bryan:

I think I'm done with 5 rep strength workouts for now, getting burned out on them

Nothing against them, but I think I enjoy higher reps more. Its not like I won't get stronger with higher reps, I will still be using progressive overload. Endurance and stamina are gonna go through the roof too.

Gonna try out 10 rep upper body and 15 rep lower body workouts for a while and see how it is

Did 2 sets of 15 rep squats yesterday and felt good as fukk. Core didn't hold me back, I felt like my legs got a better workout than my standard 5 rep sets.

Didn't like my last 5 rep bench session, felt like I was flailing with the weight. I need to get away from it for a while.

Dreading going back to high rep pull ups though :sadbron:

I find total reps in a movement matters more than how many you do a set. I do alternating rep ranges a week. It varies from 8-10 reps x 3, 3 reps x 8 sets & a routine where I try to get to 30 reps rsting (30, 30, 60,60, 90, 120 seconds). Basically everything in the 20-30 rep range. Even my deadlifts are 5 reps x 4 sets

It's a bit different fro lower body - tend to throw in more reps. I do 8x8 squats 60 second reps every other week which is an anomaly. Then the other week I do 3 reps x 8 sets.

Been traning like this for about 12 months now. Hella gains. 0 injuries.

my shoulder is 100%

my back is still not right, not sure if it will ever be, which is in turn killing my hamstring mobility, which has killed my pulls.

most of my other lifts are back to full strength but w 2 kids and a sh!tty commute my schedule isn't consistent enough to be in proper fighting shape and neither is my diet tbh.

i'm moving into my house (finally) 3rd or 4th week of nov so i am hoping that homelife stability helps somewhat tie everything together.

idk if you're into zeppelin at all but dl this song for your runs man, sh!t had me in the fkn zone this morning, i had to keep it on the whole time.

how's your fitness journey been going?

Good to hear sir.

Man it's been up and down but the last few weeks have been going pretty good. Lifting 5 days a week with one sprint day. Scalesis moving in that 1-2 pound range for losses. I'm not even counting cals anymore. As long as I hit 30g of protein 4 times a day I'm generally good. The progress is going to be slow but I think i could have some real results by March.

A middle aged Asian man at my gym works out in a white nike tee, navy sweatpants and loafers every morning. It's not like one day he forgot his gym bag or his clothes were in the wash. This is his day in day out gym attire.

edit: meant to write dress pants. Sweatpants isn't too weird that it would warrant it's own post :heh:
