Rest days the hardest part brehs

Two days in a row where I’m not in the gym… got me wanting to die lmao :wow:


My body is so fukking sore but my brain is on some bullshyt

Worked out Wednesday and it felt off. I hit my goals but I felt the day itself was overloaded between work and other activities and i felt wiped out at the end . Did yoga Thursday. Light calisthenics Friday. Felt like I was able to really push today and I'm just happy and grateful that I've been consistent with myself. Hoping to keep it up

President’s day today so got into the gym late (10:30am) because I decided to get in a long overdue 9hrs of sleep last night. Did not regret it one bit.

Not the most intense upper body day but very solid nonetheless.

Soccer on Saturday was good, too.

Need to tighten up the diet a bit or at least my tracking. Still dropping but last couple weekends I’ve been a bit too loose. If after 2 weeks and your weight is “stuck” then you need to adjust something.

Six more weeks until the end of the quarter before I reassess my targets and milestones.

Good progress.

Had an impromptu soccer game tonight. Got in a very good 85 mins sandwiched between two 10 min rides to and from the soccer pitch.

I've started wearing my apple watch while playing to track my heart rate. I'm averaging about 155bpm for my game which puts me just a little over Zone 4 considering my max heart rate should be ~190bpm.

Moving into midfield is definitely where I get closer to Zone 5.

If I play with the local Nigerian/African group I'm sure I'll get a harder workout but them dudes spend half the time arguing and complaining :snoop:

Play for 10 mins, argue for 7. It's why I stopped playing with them and now play with this mixed group. I'm tryna play not argue...I love my people but damn

I’ll do 30 mins of jump rope this morning before work then hit legs after work.

My last leg session was sub-par so I want this one to be much more intense.

Similar thing happened to me on Saturday with basketball. Woke up the next morning and was like nah it ain't happening right now. I'll work out this afternoon :russ: :russ:

Even yesterday afternoon wasn’t happening for me. Some days are just like that. At least I got in 30 mins of jump rope in the morning. Getting some sort of exercise 5x a week before work is simply a non-negotiable for me. Similar to brushing my teeth, taking a shower, morning prayers etc. It’s just part of my identity.

Anyway, got back to my regular scheduled program this morning. Got into the gym by 5:20am and had a very good leg day. Lifts have stalled in terms on weight so I’m adding more reps to keep up the intensity.

Also, I slept on Goblet squats for far too long. It’s a good way for me to get more reps in after doing my heavy squats and RDLs.

Once my lifting straps come in I’ll take my DLs and RDLs to the next level.

We move.

Right arm and shoulder feel off but my muscles feel ready to go. Not sure if I should just muscle through it or chill. :francis:

Brehs by 3pm I felt like I had regenerated. Didn't end up working out until 7pm but by then I was hungry for it :mjlit:

I think I need to figure out a way to shorten my session so I can get to bed earlier however.
