What time is your last meal? If it’s later you shouldn’t have a problem by 8am.

When I train in the morning it’s usually fasted, but I have to eat immediately after.
I eat at 3pm then smoothies if I'm still hungry. Stop eating by 8pm.

That 8 rep T2 always makes me want to kill myself :mjlol:

@The Butcher

don’t matter if I do front squats first always got me ready to end it :laff:

It does matter. The weights haven't even gotten heavy yet. :shaq:

If you disagree though, do your 8 sets of T2 after your 9 sets of T1 and report back. (Remember @The Butcher adds three singles after the 1+ set before doing the down sets for a total of 12.)

S/N: The T2 rep scheme was randomly pulled by the PC from Sheiko programming. That programming is just something *he* found useful, that is not to say it is universally most optimal.

I usually change the reps (decrease them) and increase the intensity for T2 Tues & Thursday. An 8-count front squat or sumo pull was much less useful to me for in PLing than a heavy triple or double.

That’s an 18 hour fast. I don’t see how this will be sustainable past a few days, with how much stress he’ll be putting on his body.
I mean the carbs would be stored in his glycogen stores so he’s not burning through those. Like the breakfast anyone eats before early training isn’t digesting and fueling an entire workout.

I wonder what these fasters be doing for their actual workouts.
- How long are the WoDs?
- Do they even lift?
- How much do they lift?
- How often do these folks even workout?
- Is this stuff only for :flabbynsick: set?

If he’s depleting his stores after every workout , then waiting until 3pm to refuel (which may not fully replenish stores), & then fast over 18 hours for more intense training the next day. I just don’t see how this can work long term.

Fasting has a place, but I think extended fasts do more harm than good for overall fitness.

Honestly he’s probably not depleting them. That takes some very intense work and low carb to do.

I see your point however. In reality we probably don’t know enough to say for sure.

Fasting has a place

I can't for the life of me see how fasting is beneficial for anyone unless they absolutely cannot limit their caloric intake through portion control. :hubie:

I would let them boys eat but that would break their fast. :steviej:

Fasts are a good way to train your stomach to prepare for a low cal diet. I feel fuller on low cal meals after a fasting, compared to just switching it up right away. That’s just my body though
