I eat at 3pm then smoothies if I'm still hungry. Stop eating by 8pm.What time is your last meal? If it’s later you shouldn’t have a problem by 8am.
When I train in the morning it’s usually fasted, but I have to eat immediately after.

That 8 rep T2 always makes me want to kill myself
@The Butcher
don’t matter if I do front squats first always got me ready to end it
I don’t think you will have enough fuel in your body to train hard in the AM. Are you against putting something light in the tank like peanut butter toast or something ?I eat at 3pm then smoothies if I'm still hungry. Stop eating by 8pm.
Depends on what he’s eating at 3PM but that’s pushing it.I don’t think you will have enough fuel in your body to train hard in the AM. Are you against putting something light in the tank like peanut butter toast or something ?
That’s an 18 hour fast. I don’t see how this will be sustainable past a few days, with how much stress he’ll be putting on his body.Depends on what he’s eating at 3PM but that’s pushing it.
I mean the carbs would be stored in his glycogen stores so he’s not burning through those. Like the breakfast anyone eats before early training isn’t digesting and fueling an entire workout.That’s an 18 hour fast. If he’s depleting his stores after every workout , then waiting until 3pm to refuel (which may not fully replenish stores), & then fast over 18 hours for more intense training the next day. I just don’t see how this can work long term.I mean the carbs would be stored in his glycogen stores so he’s not burning through those. Fasting has a place, but I think extended fasts do more harm than good for overall fitness.I wonder what these fasters be doing for their actual workouts.
- How long are the WoDs?
- Do they even lift?
- How much do they lift?
- How often do these folks even workout?
- Is this stuff only for set?
Honestly he’s probably not depleting them. That takes some very intense work and low carb to do.If he’s depleting his stores after every workout , then waiting until 3pm to refuel (which may not fully replenish stores), & then fast over 18 hours for more intense training the next day. Fasts are a good way to train your stomach to prepare for a low cal diet. I feel fuller on low cal meals after a fasting, compared to just switching it up right away. That’s just my body thoughI can't for the life of me see how fasting is beneficial for anyone unless they absolutely cannot limit their caloric intake through portion control.
I would let them boys eat but that would break their fast.
