Pins came out on Monday. First day of PT was today (I’ve seen doing “leg” days 2x a week this past month - hack squat, reverse hypers, extensions leg curls leg press ect.)

cardio stepped up nice and lost weight.

Doc: “bone healing nice your in a great spot”

me: :smugbiden: “so how long till I can grip a barbell” :birdman:

doc: hmmm bout six weeks

me: :childplease:…….:to:

Hit an first upper day afterwards using the bottom of my palm (hammer strength press, dip machine pull down ect)

Think ima chill cause after I got my medical bill leaving the gym

Felt good to feel the power of hate running through my veins today though:mjlit:

Felt the hate and now in the rack for low bar + front squats

Edit: my hamstrings are ON FIYA :damn::damn::damn:

edit 2: feel like I’m bout to :gag: I’m out :hubie:

How else am I supposed to loosen up?

Feels like all the tendons around my ankles are too loose now. Gotta get checked out by a doctor next week.
I kind of joking and kind of not. Kind of depends on what you are doing.

Me, Myself, Personally…….I just progressively warm up with patterns that mimic whatever I’m doing that session

It’s not the first time I’ve heard it. Some older brehs I know say they don’t either stretch, but they can’t even touch their toes.

Once I’m healthy I’ll try your method.

I also go to a gym where there is an contingent of people who spend more time on stretching and mobility than actual training and I don’t understand it.

Different priorities I guess. Stretching takes up 3-4 minutes of my training, but I do movements that may exaggerate my tendons and this is why I’m having issues now I believe.

3-4 minutes is minor. I would say I see individuals that spend a third of their gym time stretching and foam rolling. It’s wild

:mjlol:

Loosen up to prevent injury :hula: Go see the doctor because you're too loose and now injured.

Pick none. Coli poster picks both. :snoop:

Like @The ADD I don't stretch before lifting, and I don't even "just progressively warm up with patterns that mimic whatever I’m doing that session".

I wear a baselayer to keep my joints warm up top and wear my knee sleeves into the gym. By the time I've walked around setting up my rack, grabbing the bar I want to use, etc. and put my Oly shoes on, my knees are already to go.

I will sometimes do 2 or 3 ankle circles in between squat sets, but that's about it.

I roll right into bench and begin with 2 sets of 5 with just the bar, before doing my weighted warm-up sets. Deadlift I switch shoes and roll right into weighted warm-up sets.
:wow:

I might start stretching in the summer but since the temps hover below freezing most of the day and night during winter, I just crank the heat up on this mattress pad and go to sleep. Wake up all loosey-goosey, comfy womfy with the muscles like :ahh:. Only CNS fatigue is ever felt.:jawalrus:

I thought both @The ADD and I were older than you? :dwillhuh:

It's funny we were talking about mobility at work the other day and this young creh couldn't bend over and touch his toes (pause) either. I can do that shyt and don't do yoga or stretch like that (pause again).

And still can't squat or bench a plate through a full ROM. :russ: :mjlol: :martin:.
