Went to do barbell squats and my lower back doesn't feel good. Only a 45 lbs. barbell, nothing else.
My physical therapist had me do bulgarian split squat at my last session so I did that. I was able to do it without lower back pain. I wonder if a nerve is hitting off when I do barbell squat that isn't getting pinched when I do the bulgarian split squat. I'm still taking it easy from hip surgery, but did a bunch with 5 lbs. dumbbells. I may never be able to go back to barbell squats. I'm going to see a neurologist because my hip surgery didn't fix what I thought was related to my butt and hamstring pain. :wow: I don't want to turn into "that guy" who walks around with a walker and has those tennis balls on the bottom. :old: Bums around the machines doing one to two plates of whatever cable pulling exercise. Checking out booty in between his lame sets... like you need a break from curling 10 lbs.

Kanye's Lift Yourself is a good song to run to.
Knocked out three miles roadside Monday. Haven't ran outdoors in a while because this summer has been killer and damn near had a stroke that first week in June.

Gonna have to get a knee brace again for the right knee flaring like a mug on the slants and hills.

Gotta get more into upper body training

yo @Spliff can you think of a more cushy job than a d1 strength and conditioning coach in a competitive conference, with a football program, making north of 80k.

A field guide to the college football strength coach

Gotta stay up on the latest tech and exercises too to best heal and rehab guys.
I know a cat who went to work with Texas A&M strength and conditioning team. Idk if he's still there tho

Lol that can be daunting if coach ain't trynna keep up with the latest S&C trends. They're basically an applied researcher. But most of us do it for free anyway, so yes, that's definitely a lit job. One too many torn ACLs and pulled hammies may get you an early exit. :lolbron:

I bet Fournette's trainer is feelin the heat. :mjpls:
