Hot damn today whooped my ass like I was an unwanted step child

For time:

60 cal row
50 DB snatch (50 lb)
40 wall ball (20 lb)
30 burpee box jump (24” box)
20 squat clean (135 lb)
10 c2b pull up (mod from 10 bar muscle ups)

Rest 6 min repeat

All in both rounds w rest 49:26

I suck enough at high rep burpees as is. Throw anything exta like a box jump or over a bar in and it’s just bordering on a torture method. That section took me the longest by far and sucked the most of my soul out.

I'm going to retool my workout sessions to be more cardio intensive for the the next couple of months. I want my endurance to improve for the upcoming soccer season.

I'll keep the weights to the main compound lifts and 3 additional lifts.

I'll also start doing way more core work.

Let's see how these next 6 weeks work out.

Training for a sport seems tough as hell to me. I imagine once soccer season starts you don't do any weight stuff at all? Figuring out the balance seems hard as hell to me.

I'll be joining 2 adult leagues. Each play once a week. Add in the other two groups I play in and we have a total of playing soccer 4 times a week once all the leagues begin.

I'm mainly training for the Sunday league. My group will be full of Jamiaicans, Nigerians, Congolese and Ghanians. Trust that these boys will put your body to the test.

Main thing for soccer is to ensure your endurance is in tip top shape. However, since most of the fields I play on are 3/4 - 4/5 the size of a regular pitch, there's even greater emphasis on ensuring you have good stamina as the game is tighter and faster. You have more sprinting invloved.

You still want to lift weights as the leagues I play in are mad physical.

Them African and Caribbean boys aint no joke :wow:
