So after all these years of lifting my arms are starting to put more size on because I am actually hitting them...I always thought training the arms was just some frat boy shyt so I concentrated on compound lifts....Now that I’m on some Kali Muscle Chris Jones Push/Pull/Legs shyt I’m realizing while I’m not getting stronger my muscle size is increasing.

Also Brehs you got to eat food...Real food.

Yeah I realized early on I wasn't going have big arms from just doing compound lifts alone(strong lifts). So I began supplement it by doing an intense circuit of dips, pull ups and push ups. And the rest is history....

Yeah diet is important but then again not really. For me I'm not super uptight about certain trends like organic vs inorganic vegetables and fruits. But it goes without saying that eating at McDonald's,having diet consisting of hot cheetos and mountain dew or eating frozen dinners ain't going produce the same results as someone who grows accustomed to fixing their own meals.....I actually don't consume much meat in my diet tbh....And it's not too expensive for me to get a couple weeks worth of food from Ralph's / Kroger ($77 on average)

The key is moderation....
I'm old school I could give a duck about counting carbs...
Carbs are quick / instant source of energy
And operating off of fat as an energy source is bad idea for "most people", I don't care how someone looks that shyt isn't healthy, you can't reverse billions of years of evolution in one life cycle....

No racks available the other day, so I had to power clean 225 into position for front squats. Never done that before and was a lot easier than expected. Made me reminisce back to a moment HS, off-season training with the FB team, struggling to finish a hang clean set of 185lb for 3. One of my boys start shoutin, hyping me up, making a scene. A crowd begins to form. Next thing I know most of the team surrounding me goin dumb, giving me a rush for that last rep. Felt amazing. We did this for everyone pushing PRs struggling on those last reps. A moment I'll probably never experience again.

Idk where I'm going this. Just one of those times u reflect on where you came from that leaves you a lil :wow::to::obama: My little brother just entered HS this year. I always remind him the camaraderie he'll experience the next 4-8 years will be unlike another other time in his life, and to fully embrace it.

my body feels really good this week, despite my workouts being harder and me being diligent about working back in my two a days. i don't know if it's the little bit of yoga i incorporated, making sure to stretch more, or because i started taking MSM and glucosamine to help my joints, but i'm feeling great for a thursday :krs:

i've also been eating kinda bad - in the sense of way too few calories. did my am leg workout yesterday, ate ~1200-1300 calories between 7am-4pm, did 45 mins on incline treadmill last night, didn't eat dinner, got up and worked out this morning, still wasn't hungry but just made myself eat breakfast :-/ a lot of days have been looking like this the past 2 weeks :lupe:

Brehs if you are trying to add to your muscle size I suggest you look into a push/pull/legs program.

Hate it when life gets in the way of lifting. Haven’t been to the gym in weeks and I already feel like shyt. Irony is, by going to the gym I’ll actually have more energy to deal with the stress I’m having now but I can’t even find the time to do it. Not to mention everytime I go back after a while I have to deal with the doms all over again. :francis:
