You'll never get "enough" in this gym shyt.
That's why you MUST love the process. Not the "end"
I remember starting out (relatively late) and seeing guys in gyms hit big numbers on squats/deadlifts etc and think to myself
"one day"
Then I was able to hit them and almost immediately I'm like "hmmm. .. well maybe. .. I can get one more plate on each side by next summer" and the cycle starts all over again
If you don't love the process of programming, dieting, etc this never ending gym life will drive you crazy
I do live the process. I'm like Batman about it, with time to prepare I don't see any goal I set as being out of the realm of possibility
