Plus he is very lean... that makes you look bigger. And you don't necessarily need to lift heavy to put on mass, any regular overloading will do.


It's not just him though, a lot of boxers are built crazy ( :dame:) and the vast majority say they don't lift weights.

:patrice: Tyson said the same thing back in the day. Maybe it's the volume that does the trick.

I don't know why, but it doesn't seem unreasonable. I feel like sprinters don't lift either. No time for recovery. Everyone here remembers them nikkas in high school who were naturally big, I think this is the same thing.

@semtex @houston911 do we believe Anthony Joshua? He says he does mostly TRX workouts, when he does lift weights it's mostly squats, and he doesn't really fukk with bench press. :jbhmm:

He often gets criticized for being a "pumped up weight lifter" yet he only does strength & conditioning 2 times a week and it's mostly for cardio.

There's this girl at my gym that I don't even know her name but I'd impregnate her, no questions asked. I would go sneak a pic but I'm in a hurry and don't want to come off in that way. I mean :wow: and the ass is perfect. :banderas:


Done killed this leg day today. Squats at 195, calf raises at 145, a few machine exercises, then ended it with 15 step death march with twenty pound weights for 4 sets :damn:. Did some captain chair leg raises with 17.5 and used the stretch machine for the legs. Sitting here in the locker room bout to wash my hands and head out.

Sprinters do lift for their cores, but it's not like they're trying to get diesel. The thing with boxers is that there are so many of them in ridiculous shape that it goes beyond just genetics cause they all can't be built like that, yet the majority are. So whatever it is they're doing is working, then again this is apparently Mike Tyson's routine before he went to prison.

Daily Regime (7 days a week):
5am: get up and go for a 3 mile jog
6am: come back home shower and go back to bed (great workout for those huge legs of his)
10am wake up: eat oatmeal
12pm: do ring work (10 rounds of sparring)
2pm: have another meal (steak and pasta with fruit juice drink)
3pm: more ring work and 60 mins on the exercise bike (again working those huge legs for endurance)
5pm: 2000 sit-ups; 500-800 dips; 500 press-ups; 500 shrugs with a 30kg barbell and 10 mins of neck exercises
7pm: steak and pasta meal again with fruit juice (orange i think it was)
8pm: another 30 minutes on the exercise bike
then watch TV and then go to bed.
