what foam rollers you guys use? I need one.

my body is done! every day from work im sore and tired, and sometimes dont wake up until it's time to go back to work (i work nights). I think a good roller will help me get back into working out again

Look up foam rollers on amazon and pick a relatively cheap one with good ratings. Make damn sure that it has a PVC pipe in the centre though. Chit is key. Bought mine 2 years ago and still going strong.

Yea I guess was squatting I tweaked something in my knee. And now if I try to squat I hear and feel some of crack from my knee to ankle region. I mean its doesn't hurt honestly, but it feels wrong. I've been lifting and squatting for approximately 2 years, and that aint supposed to happen plus my knees have been feeling tender after I tried squatting through it.

Doctor said to get back to lifting, but avoid squats and lunges. Also I need to strengthen my quads and hams without putting much pressure on my knees.

I got a fukked up knee from football so don't do regular squats either. Dorian Yates won Mr Olympia without squatting so it isn't the end of the world if you pick up the slack elsewhere

Yea tru.right now I'm gonna ease into step ups and avoid squats & lunges for another month and see where I am after then.
Pushing it too much isn't worth it if the injury becomes chronic.

A tennis ball honestly because I can really isolate tight spots and hold for 30 on them especially on my IT band and upper back
Thanks for this nugget of wisdom. I've been using a regular foam roller on my IT bands with very little improvement. I did this and saw incredible results
:blessed:

I've been using the stair climbing machine instead of the treadmill lately. Even though I'm moving my legs slower, I'm getting more tired and more out of breath. I saw this video on youtube that explained where the treadmill doesn't give you the same workout as running on the ground/floor, i.e. you still are expending energy to move your leg forward but you aren't pushing off your foot that is on the down like you are when running on the ground. So, my lungs are burning more and I'm sweating more after 10 minutes on the stair climber.
I'm also slowly getting my weight down and have a lot more to lose. That's a plus.

I did legs on Saturday. I am able to do squats again without any knee straps or supports and I don't get pain in the front of the knees. That's like a major plus. I noticed that my left leg is not as strong though and when i got up to 195 lbs., I felt the back of my knees feeling funny so I stopped after two reps. I wasn't getting the funny feeling at 175 lbs..
