I dont know what these nikkas talkin bout mayne. I love my belt. Intra-abdominal pressure protects and stabilizes the spine, and belts are only a danger if u have high blood pressure (in which case u shouldnt be lifting anyway :childplease: ). But to each their own :mido:

They don't even wanna hear how they are short changing their leg development by going no belt:sas1:

I aint even gonna drop that one on em:sas2:

but no belt >>>> for functional strength though, no doubt. But for gains?.....nah......i aint gonna drop it on em

So do I. Thats why I rarely use a belt.

But the anti-belt commentary only gives one side of the story. There are many reasons to use a belt for many people.

I personally put one on when I'm feeling worn out and I still want to squat or deadlift but know that my core is going to break down long before my legs do. So I put on a belt to help with my core strength and get the most possible work my legs can handle during those movements.

I could get like an extra 25-50lbs. with a belt. I think it helps if you know how to work your abs and breathing. :ehh:The past year I've just been the guy who uses no gloves, or belts and just sticks the DB between his legs for dips/pullups.

I've see too many :flabbynsick: nikkas who use a belt for everything else but leg day and to hide their beer gut. :scusthov:

I feel the same about people who lift "fed". I just can't do it.
Yea I decided to do that last Tuesday my whole workout was cool but it felt much tougher and my stomach just felt plain weird.

Honestly once you get used to lifting in the morning it becomes natural. It's good to know I can lift whenever and be good. But fasted hiit cardio to me will always be a challenge tho.

:salute: to you brehs who can and or do lift fasted. Had to this morning due to time constraints and that shyt was straight up miserable for me.
Takes time to adjust to. Caffeine will be your best friend. And even then.....

So many advantages though, especially for cutting and general calorie control. Last time I did it, I was good for like 2 months, and then I crashed and burned. I want to give it another try though. I learned a lot and am in a much better position to do that shyt again. Once I get back into bulk mode I will give it a test drive. I have already been skipping breakfast for like the past 3 yrs.... just need to push for another 1-2 hours.
