Twigs>>>>>>>>>>>>>anything in this thread
most of these bytches suck and by most i mean like 98% but they get by on looks, "singing" on hip hop/rap/trap beats, and they lean heavily on cosigns/affiliations
Jhene aiko in particular is fukking horrible. I see nothing in her musically. brings nothing different to the table.
Morisha aint got many tracks on youtube but her mixtape 'Thisisme part 1' goes in fully. Her song 'favourite fantasy' is some of the sexiest female rnb shyt ive heard in years.
As for Jhene I think shes dope but horrible live likr others have said and I never heard of the others posted in the Op but will check them out.
ThisIsMePart1Mellow by Morisha Danee' : Rhapsody
they are bring the prospect of vagina to the table for thirsty simps. all these new r&b chicks have a "regular" attractiveness about them and simps things its attainable
I mean real talk...cocteau twins did this whole sound almost 30 years ago. Portishead too, albeit much darker. Morcheeba...most of this shyt is dream pop/trip-hop with more pronounced vocals. Having listened to hundreds of albums of that shyt most of these new age brehettes milking the musical aesthetic are okay but why bother when you can just go throw on Dummy and get the real thing?
These were nice, she reminds me of tweet. I'll check for her project, but lets be honest, she doesn't come close to looking how they want you to right now, so here ceiling is extremely low barring a sudden enlightenment by the masses and media to accept substance over looks in r&b again.
yeah but these new school chicks are just ehhhhhhhhhh. at least Portishead has stood the test of time in the past 20 years or so. Tinashe and Jhene are not gonna push units or make some groundbreaking material. At the most you'll get a club track like Tinashe has with "2 On" but thats about it IMO

I've listened to all the videos and have yet to be impressed by anything I've heard with the exception of Gwen Bunn and Rochelle Jordan. The rest of these broads have paper thin voices drowned in reverbs and delays. The songs posted by SZA and Tinashe were so processed I couldn't even hear there lyrics. I will admit it is step up above Rihanna and these other trash ass mainstream R&B chicks but nah I'm not impressed.
A few of the melodies were dope but vocally nobody has blown me away.
