I'd say the vast majority of single men see women, pursuing women, and sex as something that's largely financial.

The culture reinforces it.
Low Class Women reinforce it, with their "gotta make 9 figs"
Educational/Professional Class "good" women reinforce it, "So what do you do"
There's no argument that will make them rethink their philosophy and actions.
But....
If you ever look at sexpats/whoremongers - even though it's all Pay for Play - they still try to improve themselves, they still try to be nice and chivalrous.
A lot of those Westerners In Asia guys prefer a live-in GF (that costs a lot more) than a new hottie every day.
IMO, a lot of cats believe in the big lie, live their lives accordingly, but are lying to themselves about what they really want.

Women travel from interior Mexico to work there and provide for their families, the poverty In Mexico drives down the cost of 'goods', which enables men to purchase what would be out of the range or out of access. I can meet and do meet those pornstar type ones, but it's not something I can just access with $120 dollars if I am meeting them in normal settings.
but both my friends were framing approaching THOSE women in a formal setting of prostituion, as basically the same as approaching her in a coffee shop, and I was just laughing. Like it takes maybe 10% of the confidence to approach the baddest girl in the strip club and buy her a pre fixed $30 drink and take her to a room.
but what I was thinking about is, there's not a single relationship my boy has that's not basically just tricking. It just made me grateful I guess.

Instead of just handing a chick a stack, cats hand over their lives. Time, Effort, Attention, and the money goes to a 3rd party (restaurant owner, grocery store, all the other things a man does to entertain.)

If you in a relationship it's nothing wrong with taking care of your woman or keep her maintained as long as it's within your means.

If it's her birthday or she going out with you to an event or something, it's nothing wrong with getting her hair and nails done, she is a representation of you to the world.

It makes much more sense to deal with hookers once you start to calculate what you're spending on dating random broads, or god forbid a GF or a Wife.

For me when I'm spending anything out of my norm. If I don't buy bottles at the club when I'm by myself I'm not going to start buying bottles just because a woman is with me.
If I don't eat at 5 star restaurants every week. I'm not going to start now doing that to impress a woman.
