sometimes we brainwash ourselves into overvaluing women by telling ourselves things like this. i've fallen in love with women that once removed from the situation i don't even understand what i ever saw in them in the first place with that type of brainwashing. i understand at some point if you hang around a person enough you get used to them being there but really if they go away you lived before them and you'll live after them. publicly surrendering a bit of your dignity to keep things going is silly.

the sad thing is with that dude humbling himself like that, he's only going to get pushed away further and disrespected. if he never brought it up and let the issue slide, she'd have come back to him. you can never really fix a broken relationship. the best you can do is accept the current state as the new normal. if you drop a plate and it breaks and the pieces are big enough you can glue them back together but that plate will never again look the way it originally did. sure its still a plate but it was forever changed by the damage. if you can't accept the damaged plate in its current form you trash it and replace it with a new one and if you can accept it you keep it.

a lot of people like to romanticize about going back to the way things were but if that's the goal then its just a waste of time.

It's crazy how when you're not looking or particularly trying to meet women is when they really just can sense that attitude on you and start giving you all the signs that they are digging you. Something about nonchalance and apathy really attracts a woman. When you show no signs of thirstiness or pursuit, they can just sense it and it makes something click in them to where they want to deal with you... you're that nut she wants to crack. There is no friend zone. A vulture circling overhead waiting for a chance to strike is not a friend. Friendship is not a undesirable zone its a mutually desired and beneficial relationship between two willing participants. What you're calling the friend zone is just an awkward phase that happens post-rejection when a man continues to persist dealing with a female that rejected them. The truth is because this concept was created most men don't even recognize they've been rejected because they don't see this supposed friend zone for what it truly is.
