@storyteller :salute:

I'm hoping Melo's last words of advice before he retires as a Knick, to Porzingis..."Worry about yourself and your legacy more than ANY team. Your brand means you demand a team to do what's best for you or you leave."

fukk a team.

Even though I'm a KnicksFam, when it comes to individual players incantation be made if they do for self.

When it comes down to it, I think the players need to look out for themselves and the teams need to do the same. It's a dog eat dog league. Right now, I think it's in everyone's best interests to hold out on Melo's legs getting back under him. Melo will have more suitors which means a better shot to waive his clause and we'll get a better return. We're still at a diminishing returns rate imo and until he plays better we're probably better off hoping it passes than working on deals centered around late picks and players the level of Donatas Motiejunas or Otto Porter...decent pieces but not worth giving up on Melo for.

:mjlol::mjlol: So 7th and 8th seed is a cool goal now? Because of his NTC the trade options are fairly limited, so he is not going somewhere like Philly or Phoenix. If the Rockets offer some young pieces and future 1st round picks out of desperation, you gotta take it. If the nets offer future first round picks, you take it. I doubt LAL, Miami, or Chi make a move for him. But the rest of the year will consist of his stans shytting on Lance Thomas and Derek Fisher, instead of dealing with the elephant in the room.

What the hell is even the point of trading him? Seriously. Get outta here. There's no upside to trading Melo. There's upside in developing KP, and putting more pieces around them. That's it.

So....if Melo should get traded, lets make a list of players who should also get traded for mediocre assets.

Lebron...he is losing athleticism.
Wade...Is also on the decline
Duncan...he can't play 82 games. I am sure the Spurs can get some younger talent to secure their future with Aldridge.
Kyrie...no explanation needed.
CP3...downhill from here.

The list can get longer......ain't nobody above this type of criticism except for Golden State. :scuststeph:

"But, but....those teams and players are different...because the Knicks won't make the playoffs!" :to:

:pacumad:

We won't be making the playoffs with Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Jeremy Lin, or any nondescript, mediocre, replaceable player some seem to want to force us to support.

This ain't Milwaukee, Portland, Minnesota, or Indiana....

If we wanted a quiet, modest, low-expectation team we would root for someone else.

Everyone who doesn't like Melo on the squad, can choose another team to root for. There are many other teams to root for. The game is global. Why complain?

Why prescribe solutions for a team that you will never support?

We do enjoy the commentary though.....we won't lie.

We just disagree....

In the end, it doesn't matter what any of us think or want. The front-office is not taking votes or advice from anyone on here.

Rooting for the Knicks is just fun, win or lose. Frustrating? Yes...but it is, what it is...

Melo Slander. Like we haven't been in the dar ages for a decade before he came :scust:

You should be ashamed :scust:
This is what kills me, the knicks outside of that one season and the short Jeremy Lin run havent done much.

LOL @ out of the dark ages like we made a finals appearance or something :mjlol:

You guys aren't thinking this through.

I'm convinced my point flew over your head. Like it or not, this team will only go as far as Melo goes. When he hits his career averages they win, that's what the stats say. So if you're saying Melo won't hit his career norms because of the injury or because he's regressed, that's cool. If you're saying we won't win when he hits his norms, you'll have to show me actual statistics to correlate with that belief. Otherwise, the point has nothing to do with how good or bad he is, it's just looking at the numbers and using them to make a logical conclusion. You cats throw a hissy fit when Zemapros dismisses the numbers, so don't play the "you're delusional" crap when the stats don't support your preferred narrative now.
I want more than a 6-8th seed in the playoffs :francis:

Why are you still talking about Jeremy Lin ?! He's been on like 3 teams since he left us! It's obvious no one wants that guy.

I'll say it again. A lot of our losses this season have come due to lineups, rotations and coaching decisions. How many games this season have we lost in the last 5 minutes!!:what:

@MGM @GatorStaceyAdams yall ain't makin an appearance this year?

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

You have cats who have STATED that don't like Melo's game, but I'm so supposed to take their opinion seriously like they aren't bias, when I was getting clowned for not thinking logically because I do like Melo's game.

And when asked how this team would be better without Melo, I got no response.

Cats want us to go in full rebuild mode like that would work, instead building around a our current all-star & rookie stud.

Wade - has won 3 titles for the Heat and they didn't even give him a multi-year contract, he's on a 1 year deal right now :russ:

Duncan - 5 time Champion and is elite defensively, the Spurs defense is reliant on Kawhi and Tim (number 1 defense in league)

LeBron - Still elite, do I really need to go in depth?

Kyrie - Some Cavs fans have said they should trade him, he's the sidekick too.

CP3 - The Clipper fans on this board have been wanted him traded, and other posters have said they should move him as well.

KD - Better than Melo in every way & younger than him.

You got a dude like Wade who the Heat are reluctant to commit to and he's done more for their team than Melo has done :dead: And most importantly, all of these guys are on winning teams and have been on winning teams the last couple years, with the exception of Kyrie who is his teams number 2.

What has Melo done for the Knicks to warrant him being brought up with multi-time champs? :wtf: I could see if he were Kobe and has won 5 rings for an organization and you have to keep him out of respect.

You may pride yaself on all this bball knowledge you got but at the end of the day you just a sspectator like us. Bron and wade consider melo to be a peer of theirs and every bit of an elite player. You not a knicks fan but yet you all up in this thread berating melo every chance you get...you can post wherever you want obviously but you sound like a petty fakkit. Just saying.

I don't care which player is best friends with the next, and you only notice me shytting on Melo cause he's your guy, I do the same for CP3 and Rubio but I don't see you throwing on the :cape: for them. I'm not a Knicks fan, and I'm also not an emotional female like yourself, you so :umad: about the "mean" things I say about Melo instead of acting like a bytch offer up something counter :yeshrug:

PS. LeBron thought Wade was a elite player, and left him in the dust when it was obvious he was declining :russ:
