I'll wait to see the price tag on Biyombo to get mad about Noah's cost. If Mozgov got 16.5 (1.5 less than Noah) and Courtney Lee is asking for 15 milli...I'm not so sure that Noah's contract isn't fair value. It's not a bargain, but it might be new normal fair value.

Noah's Job Is To Get The Best Offer He Can, Can't Blame The Players

With The Way Things Are Going On The Market I Can See Why The Knicks Rushed This Deal
No, breh.

I don't disagree with you.

I'm saying that... that should have been the Knicks position.

Looking at these other contracts though... It's really not different than Robin Lopez's contract percentage.

I just... I don't want the Knicks criticism anymore.

Can we also talk about Melo's contract looking really good right now?

If Bazemore is getting 19mill... Even an old Melo is a bargain at 24.

Ask:

1) Has Phil demonstrated a track record of making stupid personnel decisions?

2) How long has free agency been open?

3) Do you believe that we have no flexibility or imagination to make something creative happen?

Either way, don't front, we are riding regardless. Mad or not.

Yea...

I'm grumpy now... but we weren't getting top agents...

Lakers signed Mozgov at a ridiculous clip...

These are my Knicks... I'm going to be their biggest advocate come 2017 offseason.

It's not worth it though. Say we are a playoff team, 1 of two things is gonna happen, We'll either have to cut Noah's minutes, making him an $18 million playing 18 minutes a game, or he's playing over KP. Both are bad looks.

WTF is Phil doing? I'd rather have Robin Lopez. This shyt makes no sense. This team is trash. You got two washed up Chicago Bulls players and Melo who has no lift. It's the same shyt all over again.

Relax. The numbers are STILL speculation at this point.
Why jump the gun for Noah :snoop:

Why not see what other teams are offering dude is 31 with shoulder and knee injuries, so much for a home town discount.

:stopitslime:

This is a business, their isn't no such thing as a hometown discount. I'll never talk bad about someone getting their paper up. If your job told you, they would want you to take a "hometown discount" how would you feel about that???

Well good thang you aint GM then nikka. For the life of me I cant understand how a career 8 pt. per game scorer in Lopez has been elevated to this Wilt Chamberlain like mythical figure in the days following the trade from perpetually angst-ridden, miserable knick fans.

A bench bum in Mosgov just got 15 per year. This is the NBA market, not coupon clipping at Walmart. There's risk in any endeavored move. Scared money dont make money. Either you have an optimistic mindset, or you look for ways to find the glass not only half empty, but broke. Noah is a warrior, a leader, and a winner. The exact type influence you want on an organization, and an emerging player like KP. But some of y'all would rather the knicks win 17 games and pick in the five slot every year, and set root a losing, lottery treadmill culture.

Cats want us to be like the Wolves & Sixers :pachaha:

How is he playing over KP? Noah at the 5, KP at the 4. I really don't understand why people are rushing to play KP at the 5. Let him cook at the 4, ala Dirk.

In this market 14.5 is enough for one solid player. How are y'all gonna get depth?

For now it seems like a guarantee that we'll match any offer Lance and LG get. So that's an okay back-up swing guard (hopefully he improves) and an alright Forward. KOQ is on board already or could be moved to add another piece. I expect the LLE to be used on Willy Hernangomez coming over. So we have a back-up SG, SF and two C's in place (one who's probably been given an offseason task of developing more PF skills though I'm skeptical). I'm praying that the reason Gordon's name came up is because he's cheap enough that we'll be able to add a back-up PG (I've mentioned Frazier and Moore as options before). So the second unit would be something like Frazier, Galloway, Lance, KOQ, Willy...That's pretty damned makeshift but it could be worse and most of those guys have room to grow. On top of that, next offseason, we could fill the depth needs with our additional cap space.
