Waiting to see the parameters of this deal before I make any judgements. Was going through Chris Herring's twitter and felt slightly better about Noah for 4 years although I sitll don't think the last year should be guaranteed. If the plan is for Noah to start next to KP for the next two and the slide over to the bench then I can see why you offer him a contract and ignore a Biyombo.

Eric Gordon wouldn't be a bad look depending on the price and years, and I get the feeling he'll come on a reasonable contract compared to the other sg's this offseason, with less guaranteed years so he can try and get a bigger contract somewhere else when the time comes( he's young enough to take that chance). Most importantly he'll be able to space the floor. Injuries are obviously a concern, but if everyone can stay healthy at least the offense should be high powered next year.

Well good thang you aint GM then nikka. For the life of me I cant understand how a career 8 pt. per game scorer in Lopez has been elevated to this Wilt Chamberlain like mythical figure in the days following the trade from perpetually angst-ridden, miserable knick fans.

A bench bum in Mosgov just got 15 per year. This is the NBA market, not coupon clipping at Walmart. There's risk in any endeavored move. Scared money dont make money. Either you have an optimistic mindset, or you look for ways to find the glass not only half empty, but broke. Noah is a warrior, a leader, and a winner. The exact type influence you want on an organization, and an emerging player like KP. But some of y'all would rather the knicks win 17 games and pick in the five slot every year, and set root a losing, lottery treadmill culture.
Noah by himself is fine. Rose by himself is fine. Gordon by himself is fine. But when you take this all-eggs-in-one-basket approach with THREE players who're in a moribund state to partner your franchise player who has his fair share of health concerns, you're not exactly putting yourself in the best position you possibly can to win (especially with the physical demands of an up-tempo offense). Not only do you handcuff your hopes to a minute % that all these players will remain relatively healthy and develop chemistry (prep and ready for the playoffs) in a vacuum, but you also have to make sure there's an adequate second unit in place to balance out their minutes so that they can stay healthy and remain effective, and take over if any of them go down.
