Still don't understand the desire to trade Melo when he's on a desirable contract and is still the best player on the team. He dominates most matchups and has become a serviceable defender. What more do we want?
A player that is younger and helps fill out the roster during the rebuild. Melo is not that dominant player who gets a team to the playoffs anymore. By the time the Knicks get a somewhat decent roster together he will be way over the hill.

It is time to move on. You guys really need to stop looking at the contract as if it means anything to us right now. The team is in rebuild mode with an all-star who is nearing the end of his peak and wants to win now. How much sense does that make?

This isn't rocket science :francis:

The rebuild process already began when we got rid of most of our players and lost our way into getting Kristaps Porzingis. We're entering year 3 of the rebuild and we have two or three promising young pieces and one of the better small forwards of the league. I'm not sure what getting more young players will do for us unless we're trying to 76er our way into a title. :yeshrug: We can develop Kristaps, Grant and Galloway and get some better vets to become a decent playoff team. Why do we need more young players? I think it's a little naive to think that if we go through another losing season that we'll get a player of equal or greater talent than Kristaps.

Melo needs to be around for KP the motherfukker is only 20 he's not ready for ny media to be completely focused on him:snoop:Trying to hand the keys to a young dude in one of the most aggressive sports cities :snoop:. We need a coach with an established identity first. That's one thing Boston did right was get a damn good coach.

I'm no longer on the #FirePhil train. I realized the easy thing to do is to get impatient and call for his firing and that's what has been happening with this franchise for over a decade. Dolan shouldn't listen to the media and fans and must stick to his original agreement and let Phil handle everything. Two years seems like forever for most of us, but you have to be realistic about the situation we were in before he took over. Poor cap space, no draft picks etc. Some of his signings were bad calls, but they are correctable in the off season. Experts said we would win 26 games this year and we exceeded that. They said it would take 3 years to reach the playoffs and this is the summer to do it.

Don't do the easy thing and release him from his contract and create another narrative about us being impatient fans.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Grant is 23, Galloway is 24 :dahell:

They're both older than Giannis Antetokounmpo, Gobert, Schroeder etc who have been in the league 3 years already for players without much experience they aren't necessarily that young. I mean, John Wall is 25 and Bradley Beal is 23, the experience gap between the Wiz guys and the Knicks young guys is huge, considering they're around the same age.

That's nonsense, the Lakers are about to hand the keys over to 20 year old Russell, 21 year old Randle and whoever they get in the draft, the expectations on them will be even higher since there's a tradition of winning they will be expected to carry on.

The Celtics also moved on from their championship roster when it became obvious their dudes didn't have it anymore. Yall got a deathgrip on Melo and he's done nothing but power yall to 3 straight losing seasons :mjlol:
