I'm not hating on Melo breh. Dude is elite, but the knicks situation has been fukked for a while and Phil is the first GM in a while not kicking the can down the road to the next guy. As nice as Carmelo is going all in to build around a guy who is a season off of knee surgery and still is talking the olympics is typical knicks shyt
Carmelo is 32, the Knicks still owe a pick to another team, and about 80% of the league is going to have decent cap money this year. The only hope this team had was to do decently enough this season to at least be in the playoff race to go to not have to overpay a player to make them more complete and continue to build. That didn't happen though
As soon as Melo got injured that shyt went out the door, exposed Fisher for basically surviving off of Melo, and ended their hopes of not having to overpay.
I mean shyt Phil had to come out and say "we're not going to overpay any PG's"
because Melo went out there and said "I want Rondo"
Q&A with Knicks' Carmelo Anthony: 'I got to find something I can be comfortable with'
Also I read this whole article and yeah Melo sounds like he is 100% on either get a star for me next FA or I am out. That's going to help the knicks how?

This is that typical CAA shyt
Right now the best option the knicks have is to try and still a RFA (H. Barnes, Bazemore), get a stopgap PG, and push the real PG chase to 2017.
