I think Melo feels like PHIL is half assing the job and just taking the money
Many of the fans feel the same
Phil can opt out next year
Dolan has a opt out too
Melo can leave any time he wants

Something's gotta give, I can't blame melo for putting a lil pressure on management to do something. We going into year 3 and no better off then we were in year 1. Team got no direction, no cap space, no coach, no nothing lol

Lakers pulled the same stunt on Kobe. Promising him quality players and then sticking him with smush Parker and kwane brown. And yes Kobe is way above melo but that's not the point. team should be way better than IT is

Breh relax... Knicks are a good coach and PG away from contending in the East.

Melo
KP
RoLo

is a good core. You still have Affalo, Galloway, Thomas, DWill, Grant who can all put it work.

Most important thing is a good coach. They need someone who can bring this all together.

He plays very well. The numbers don't mean much to us honestly.

We need atleast two more players
A Pg and Pf/sf
Proven plsyers

The verdict is stil out on Kp
He's quietly been playing horrible for the last two months
Lopez is good to have but he isn't a game changer

Pound for pound we have one of the least talented teams in the league. We need major upgrades

And yes, a solid EXPERIENCED coach to run the team. Odds are we are getting another triangle role player tho

I'm giving him a pass this year because of his age and I know he's not use to playing this many games (especially the back to backs). He also showed me enough earlier in the season that leads me to believe he can be a consistent 22 - 10 guy and a force on defense.

He shouldn't have been called on to contribute this much anyway. The fact that he's getting major minutes at this point speaks to the level of talent on the Knicks roster. Phil even said he was 3 years away and after seeing him play this year I would agree. But the fan base is so thirsty for stars they are quick to prop him up.

Rambis has said that due to Porzingis’s athleticism and versatility, he could “eventually see him at the 3-spot some,” referring to the small-forward position. That was days after Rambis said he wanted Porzingis to sprint down court after opponents’ misses more frequently in hopes of getting more post-up opportunities. Rambis, who has said Porzingis is “going to be phenomenal,” has also been critical of the rookie’s shot selection, saying “there are shots out there that he takes that I flat-out don’t like.” Porzingis’s 3-point attempts are down since Rambis’s comment.

Kurt Rambis has to go. :camby:

way too early for any of that
lets face, most of thought he wasn't gonna be shyt this year and he exceeded our expectations
teams didn't even have a game plan for him the first half of the season
lets see what he does next year, hopefully he continues to progress
but theres so many players in the past that have had really good rookie seasons then went on to be trash

and i agree he shouldn't be called on to cotribute this much right now anyway, we should bring him along slowly
which is why i find it retarded that some knick fans want to trade melo and "build around" around porzingis as if he is a proven star or something:francis:
he isn't ready yet
playing with melo and other proven players will defintely help him progress tho

3 factors

1. Health. If he avoids injuries he can definitely put up those numbers within 3 to 4 years. I mean he's only 19 or 20.
2. Desire. He has a good attitude and approach towards the game, which leads me to believe he will make an effort to refine his game.
3. Knicks getting a legit point guard. If the Knicks can get a top 10 point guard (along with some other pieces), it will help his stats.

Overall, I think he as a better than 50% chance of eventually being a perennial all star than not.

@I.V

Kristaps is a stretch 5,

He is a lot of things.

Blake Griffin is the best PF in Basketball. I think their games will complement each other.

They will operate in a lot of the same space. And Griffin isn't not a very good passer.

Knicks have too many bigs

LOL

and Lopez is the only trade bait they have (Unless a team would want Jerian)

LOLOLOL

You need an Athletic Point Guard, MCW is still on his rookie deal, he doesn't have a future in Milwaukee.

He doesn't have a future in the NBA, because he can't shoot.

If you want Westbrook then you need cap space to offer him the 30M that he's going command. Shedding Melo and Lopez contracts is the best way to do that.

They can afford Westbrook now. Without "shedding cap"

Porzingis should be getting more touches closer to the rim, but it's all post up's from him now, and it makes no sense. Kristaps should be getting face up opportunities too, and shouldn't be forgoing his three point shot at all since it's apart of what makes him unique. Kurt is using him in the most limited and uncreative way possible, and it's no coincidence that KP has been in a slump since Rambis has taken over. Now he wants to make KP a small forward :mjlol:

Get Rambis the fukk out of here, and put him on a time machine back to 95:camby:

KP would be better at a 4 ala Dirk
nah. he defends the paint too well to be a 4, and needs more space on offense to play next to a legit center. He's a center in today's game, and blake is the perfect complement.

the problem is blake and kris would be better in an uptempo offense, but stuck in '70s phil aint gonna let that happen
