PS5 pre-orders start 9/17/2020

Because history will repeat itself man... this is the exact same thing that happened years ago...

if we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic then I’d easily agree but I think sony ramped up production this year for the PS5 as a “preemptive strike” in case COVID gets worse and they can’t produce as many (if any) next year...not saying it’s certain but who knows at this point...this the only reason why I’m making sure to get a couple day one...typically tho I usually wait a year

Maybe I'm putting too much into this, but I noticed a small change in how my preorder is listed on my Amazon account

Up until now when i checked the order it just showed up as "Preordered", now it shows as "Not yet shipped"

I expect delays upon delays for restocks for all of 2021 due to supply issues exacerbated by COVID

Target does that. They will take and put money back into your account to make sure you have the funds. They will do it once a week until launch.
