In the entire existence of ps+ little big planet and infamous are the absolute best games ever offered. By the time they were offered they were a year old and sales were very underwhelming so from a business standpoint it made sense for them to give the games away to ps+ customers.
How do you think they choose what games to give away? They're not gonna give away games that are successful and still selling because those games are still making them money. What they do is give you games that didn't sell as well as they wanted them to right before the next installment of that game comes out in hopes that you will get hooked on the old game, and go out and buy the next installment.
