Cloverfield being an average movie at best had nothing to do with the hidden creatures. For one there wasn't any likeable characters
there's no point for them to be hidden because we know what they look like, we know how they behave. It worked for Alien because you had no idea what to expect. Times have changed, there is no reason to use them in that manner again.For those who want the Aliens to be more hidden throughout the movie, remember how well that worked out for Cloverfield.
The latest Godzilla balanced it well with it being veiled for a good chunk of the film but there was a massive payoff when they finally drew back to the curtain.
I just didn't like how they showed who died in the trailer.
We saw like 3-4 of the main cast members get marked in the trailer, takes away some of the suspense.
understandable, but i mean, you know everyone but probably one person is going to die right? this is alien.

Did anybody notice how the Fassbender who was standing near the dude who got face hugged, was dressed differently than the one in the group? Pretty sure they discovered the other Fassbender bot, and dude was like "oh it's just you Walter" and David said "have a look at that egg my friend".

It's what Prometheus should have been, an Alien prequel. They're starting over. The stuff that was cut from Prometheus (when it was an Alien prequel) to distance itself from Alien is now being incorporated into this movie.

Gonna be flames If Prometheus was gonna work they had to distance itself from Alien but they caved in and fukked up the act.
Now luckily we have a true prequel to Alien
