I feel like Curry got a lot more grace than Kobe got. Kobe has been ridiculed for 20 years. Steph hasn't gotten any of that or Wade.

I didn't say people said Curry's rings didn't count.. I said people did hold it against him for not having a FMVP because the narrative some posters on here ran with was that the Warriors beat an "injured" Cavs team in 2015 which I mean that's fair Kyrie/Love were injured and then KD came over after 2016 and won the 2 FMVPs there so people were saying that Curry NEEDED to win FMVP in '22 which he did..

Being a Cs fan I can't stand the Lakers and all the bs calls that went their way, but the idea that Kobe was never the best player in the league is insanely dishonest and can only be conceived by a certain fan group that goes out of their way to discredit him.

Bro - nobody was putting Shaq in best player in the world convos in 2006.
2007 - no one thought KG or Nash were on Kobe’s level. His won’t teammate Amare said Kobe was better than everyone. And Dirk bowed down. You guys are rewriting history.
2008 - Dwight Howard was never in that convo and Bron had risen well before that - dude had just made the finals. Kobe was the consensus best. Dude ran through the WCF averaging 33 7 and 7 in the playoffs before the finals and got Duncan out of there in 5 when Spurs were the champs. KG was not in the convo for the best - the Celtics as a whole were dominant and he was their best player but no one argued KG over Kobe.
2009 - ???? The only 3 people in the conversation were Kobe, Wade and Bron.
2010 - if anything this was the year he started to slow down and people wondered if Bron had caught him. Dude was getting his knee drained during playoff series.
