Naru is smart she has been watching the predator the entire movie before she finally lures him into a trap. She also fails a lot throughout the movie so you are really invested in her final fight because you have seen her grow throughout the film

Guarantee the same ones complaining about that now were the same ones saying that about the trailer. They were never going to enjoy the movie with so much bias going into it.

Most of her L's were from environmental danger. The quicksand, the bear, the lion, the trap, Frenchman...and those were mainly to highlight her inexperience/world building.

If anyone thought her fighting skills were lacking that should have gone out the window when she gave the Comanche breh that work hand to hand. Then she bodied multiple men with the hatchet. She was more well rounded skills wise than anyone in her tribe. That's why a female character made sense. The men weren't learning the things she did like her mother teaching her about medicine. Later on she helps a man with his wound and in exchange he teaches her how to use a gun which she then uses to get the helmet.

I really don't think the Predator took her seriously until she tricked him into cutting his own arm off. By then it was too late. Prep Time Naru already had the win sewn up

The Yautja homie put up a good fight she just wanted it more

Actually that's what I thought for a loooong time but what actually happened is that the shot from the Predator actually hit the gun and blasted it apart and blew Dutch to the ground

The Predator was relying on strength and weaponry. He wasn't adapting which is why he got caught in the bear trap when he should have avoided it after seeing Naru caught in one.

Nobody would watch the movie if they were strictly speaking in Comanche. Don’t be dense. Hollywood does this for almost all foreign based movies. Majority of this narcos, samurai, German shows/movies they speak English.

Just watched this again. Don't you guys just love how the main character was outright knocked out twice(which is a serious medical emergency as it can cause brain damage or even kill you), was caught in a bear-trap, got hit at least three times by a 400 lb predator, two being with his shield which cut through flesh like butter and even cut through rock, and one of those times being a fukkin chokeslam, yet after all this she still prevails without so much as a scratch on her. wasn't slowed down, wasn't even winded, even though arnold, who was three times her size, was nearly killed and seriously psychologically scarred.

then we have the dumbass predator (who somehow manages to get hit repeatedly to primitive beings despite having camoflauge and better reflexes), who loses to a 50 lb girl who just five hours ago, couldn't kill a deer or rabbit and wasn't even smart enough to know not to shoot fukkin arrows at a goddamn bear? but it's ok bc the predator was 'injured' which is supposed to mean he was slowed down even though he was fighting the exact same as he fought before all his wounds, whereas the girl didn't take a single lick of damage or get slowed down at all despite all the serious shyt I listed above. then, after getting like five of her small tribe's hunters killed, she brings back the predator head and the tribespeople don't recoil in horror wondering what it is, they don't berate her cause many of them will likely starve since their hunters are dead because of her, nope, they make this retard the new warchief(after she got the former one killed lol) don't you just love this incredible movie?

just to reiterate, the predator was able to be defeated because he was 'injured' but the main character had more serious things happen to her and not only wasn't too injured to fight, but was moving around like black widow in her 1 v 1, but these retards will praise this film as 'flames.' lol at these dudes. anything passes for good these days. If you get caught in a beartrap, you can't walk correctly, let alone jump out a tree, roll around, and fight like wonder woman, but it's all good for thecoli. they give you feminist propaganda and you just line up to shovel it into your mouths. pathetic. no wonder so many of yall can't pull women.

It was about what I expected. Main character had potential to be great, but like most empty girl power vehicles the movie cuts itself off at the knees to make her competent

The Revenant is a better version of Prey. If this movie had that level of grittiness and obstacle it could've been a classic

And the music was awful.

All considering, the main actress was good I think it's her eyes

My issues with the movie aside they did give her more failures than I expected which is the single biggest issue with girl power movies.

At the end of the day Prey was a huge step in the right direction with the historical premise and its doing numbers so they are going to do more.

Dont complain too much about naru cause we probably gonna get a hunter or predator not from harlem up next.
