But unless you actually believe "black businesses" are really "black businesses" in this country, This isnt really a big deal for the black community as a whole. Whats a business with a black face,where the profits go back to the banks that fund our oppression?And the black owners live in white neighborhoods and give all their money to white businesses and buy European trappings? Or where the owners ultimately sell the majority if not all lf their businesses to cacs anyway?#MustBeTheMoney

Human beings didn't evolve with some special brain compartmentalization that separates "voting" and "dating". The average person has pretty much one way of going about life, and it's social. Most of us, even the ones who wish to deny it, form our allegiances around our social connections first, and then come up with the other justifications later.

They've shown in numerous sociological experiments that people who change their political outlook tend first to attach to a figure they admire, and only later over time change their positions to match that figure. They don't approach it via some ultra-rational game theory calculation.


You need to face the fact that most people don't like you, and that the way you post has caused that. And because they don't like you, you're automatically working at a deficit with anything you try to convince them of. This would be fine if you were just here to chill and be yourself, but your MAIN goal of posting here is clearly to try to convince people....so why be so unlikeable? The language for FBA set asides needs to be right, so that one couldn't feasibly argue it down. Secondly I read your article about the black woman getting the Jackson Airport contracts (Good article) but that doesn’t have to do with the SBA section 8 program that’s in the OP. Atlanta got federal money for construction of its airports and the Atlanta commission awarded her a contract. Atlanta will always award black people contracts considering their voting power and economic strength.

I don’t believe this ruling changes City or state based contract accumulation. I can’t speak for other states but NY gives a lot of small contracts based on community development and impact. Essentially a black owned business increases their chances of winning a contract if they can show community impact (helping out the hood).

Bigger and more grandiose contracts usually need a councilman or state representative to assist them with that. Last time I checked I doubt this ruling will stop people like Hakeem Jeffries (8th district) or Jamaal bowman (16th district) for advocating for black businesses or black business contracts.

I’m just saying this to stop with the doom and gloom. The black middle class will not vanish that easily. You are already seeing changes in colleges and universities on how they plan on tackling this (Class approach + community investment recruiting, etc). The SBA will do something similar
