Texas is the south but not deep South, like LA/MS/AL/GA/SC, etc. It's pretty easy to distinguish if you've spent any time in any of them. Those state's culture is pretty much the same though whereas Texas has it's own spin on southernness

This is what it boils down to. It feels like another planet compared to the deep south. Honestly I couldn't get the fukk outta Texas fast enough when I was living there. Hell nikkas was calling me country. Growing up looking up to UGK I was shocked as fukk when I got there. But I guess they from East Texas which yall keep trying to play up so maybe I'll go to H-town or some shyt.

Hurt my feelings? They hoes was all on my dikk cause I had a "accent". In all my years of going all over the south I literally have never heard that. Im born and raised in GA. I can go to damn Mississippi or even Lousiana and nikkas understand me perfectly, even low key got the same lingo. In TX, them hoes was treating me like I was exotic and the nikkas be on some entirely different shyt.

Anyway I lived in San Antionio but I done been all over Texas really except like that Htown port arthur area. These folks living in the desert wearing cowboy hats talking about they the south lmao.

The Ummah!
I was in AG town. In the hood and there were brothers wearing cowboy boots and hats. With their jeans tucked. I tucked my chain and exited and tried not to scratch their lifted f150s

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
Neither does Bubba Chuck..

And my roommate was from Norfolk..he didn't have a southern drawl..it was subtle..kinda like how some chicagoans sound.

Hahahahaha this is funny as hell, I just lived in Norfolk/VB until April...

Norfolk southern than a muhfukka, they walk around calling themselves country. The guy you roomed with was an anomaly, bet that...

I knew cats from all over Shark City, from Young's Park to Warview to Southside (Berkley) to Ingleside to The View. It's the South and its southern, ain't no doubt about it. You meet the occasional muhfukka who doesn't have a southern accent, but that's not the norm. Dudes out there into southern whips and music and all...

The women are southern, too...

I'm a Beach nikka, ironically I would say The Beach is a little less southern, but its southern, too. The culture is a little more nationally and internationally influenced, but it's still the South...

Now if we're comparing Norfolk to places further south, sure, I'd say it's not as southern as Raleigh or Charlotte or Atlanta. Not as southern, but still southern nonetheless...

Richmond is 1:30 away and is significantly less southern---->still southern too, mostly based on history, but you'll find fewer southern accents in Rich than in Nfk, though it isn't at all unusual to hear southern accents there...

it's people that think Kentucky and Tennessee are the south so of course Texas is the south...Matter fact it's the southern capital it goes further to the south than any other state.
