Trading with strangers is a pain in the ass, i lucked out and got a sword user, we made like 6 trades before we ended...but the surprise trades...y’all out here burning the strip. I make it my business not to send out trash but I’m getting burnt left and right

I thought you needed a 4 digit code to trade. Are you talking about the surprise trade?
You can use a code if you set it up with a specific person. Without the code it just finds people
I do surprise trades too
Just bought the $20 membership. I'm gonna go on there and see what I can get. I just beat the 7th gym and now I can catch a wild Ditto. I'll be sending out Scorbunnies.

I have got a few decent monsters from surprise trade, but majority of the time it’s trash.
Link trades is a roll of the dice as well, sometimes you find a random person willing to trade version exclusives, and that’s cool, I just wish there was some kind of chat/messaging option so you could ask each other what y’all looking for.

I have all 3 starters. Got the Sobble on a surprise trade where I accidentally offered my female Grookey. Got Grookey on a normal trade from somebody in Korea or something. It’s hard to get females on the starters. Took over 20 children to get the Scorbunny one.
Name one NeedSwordXclus or something and offer it up first. Thankfully, in my experience, a few ppl have worked out how to communicate decently. Like when I offer a shield exclusive somebody with throw up the evolved version of it or something to let me know they have shield also. Then its either a different kind of trade or you end it.
One of my best trades i offered my spritzee holding a sachet. Dude offered me the evolved form, mine evolved once we traded then we traded back. I can work like that, but a lot of ppl i meet dont get it

Don't even bother trying to use it untill it's hit it's 3rd Evo then it's the truth
It's about as common as Eevee is in Pokemon Sword. I wouldn't necessarily call it rare. I caught an Eevee after about 20 mins of looking.Somebody random traded me a dreppy the first day I was playing I didn't know it was rare until today
