How much would the equivelant cost in the pc world right now, I say alot, your acting like Sony is putting some sh1tball card in there.

PS4 is apart of AMDs GCN models somewhere in between the 7850 and 7870 range. But its an APU model setup equates to less power draw and far less latency, for snappier/ faster performance. both systems are middle of the road IMO compared to last generation where much more money were spent on the GPUs(well sony thought so ) both consoles are conserative PS4 is even more conservative then the durango concept. I think this was done so we can have shorter generation like EA and UBI been begging for.

no....the average consumer cares about pretty graphics....hardcore gamers care about gameplay

what you don't understand is that better graphics lead to better gameplay because better graphics lead to better animations which leads to more immersiveness which IMO makes the gameplay more bearable even if it hasn't improved

Hype because we just realized the system with the greatest games will once again be playstation 4 and the Ford Taurus of this gen will be the 720. Great commercials, but always in the shop and overrated.

No, he is right. One of the main things you hear about COD is how smooth it is. So they may not know that is due to the frame rate but they do know that the game is smoother than its competitors.

they went with a single chip cpu/gpu. I think microsoft is as well. as someone on the PC side, 'integrated graphics' gives me the heebie-jeebies. but it's never really been done like this, so lets see what they do with it. I imagine they like it cause they only have to throw one heat-sink on it

Call of duty is a pick em up game thats addicting and competitve with great gameplay.

If there wasn't a 60fps nobody would care, the game is piff on its own merit.
